so trending warmer for morgan hill southward out towards the tri-valley and the north bay. and now tuesday the maps turning orange again. we've got those mid 90s showing up in concord and walnut creek seconds into morgan hill and san martin southward and seconds around santa rosa. but then the temperatures do start to cool down. as we get into wednesday and thursday. the winds are going to pick up and we're going to see more clouds and look at this thursday into friday showers returning to parts of northern california. it's another area of low pressure dropping down from the pacific northwest that by thursday night and friday brings a chance of a few showers. then, as we head towards the weekend, the low scoots out. high pressure starts to build in, which will lead to some breezy, drier and warming temperatures. we think as we move forward into next weekend. so san francisco briefly getting close to the low 70s there on tuesday, then likely heading back into the 70s next weekend and you'll see after that chance of showers friday, we'll have to watch the wind. this could be

a battle is brewing between neighbors in the north bay and street vendors. people in san rafael tell us they are pleading with city leaders to address problems they're having with smoke and noise. they told today in the bay's alyssa goard that the food vendors are there late into the night, and it's taking a toll. matthew smith was excited when, eight months ago, several street vendors began selling on the sidewalk across from his apartment on b street near downtown san rafael. because i'm a huge fan of tacos, he says, the vendors are there around five days a week from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m, but smith and three of his neighbors told us the stands are now impacting their lives from smoke wafting into their apartments to late night music and noise stopping them from sleeping to a growing rat population. they provided this photo of one dead rat they say they spotted nearby loud music, a smell you kind of have to have. strong and through our windows we don't have ac and the music and the traffic. this, the rats, the loud music, the smell, the smoke. i mean, i'm i'm don

mainly for the north bay. still a question mark after that.n drier and warmer forecast in store for us as we head into the weekend. let's take that out of the way. i will step out of here and we will talk about the evolution of the rain chances as they try to move towards the bay area as we head to the end of the workweek. mainly what you are going to see is more cloud cover lingering longer and on friday and inland parts of the bay area, fog and low clouds in the morning more stubborn, a little drizzle possible. not quite concentrated enough. you will see a few green blips here. the atmosphere trying to get its act together and produce the showers. it will stay off to the north of us. if the storm system is just a little closer to us that would send the better chance of showers into the pay area. something that we are going to be watching heading through the next several days. right now, not seeing much fog. we are seeing plenty of fog swallowing up downtown san francisco. temperatures at the moment, running in the 60s but down to 59 degrees

let's talk about tomorrow's forecast highs as we will start with the north bay where the temperatures won't be as hot as other inland parts of the bay area because the fog will last just a little bit longer there. that will keep your temperatures running mostly in the mid to upper 80s. close to 90 degrees. but into the 90s, inland into the east bay. everybody east, back up to the mid to upper 90s. not quite as hot as today, but still running 5 to 10 degrees below normal. temperatures in the 70s in oakland. still 80s for fremont and redwood city and another day with temperatures in the low to mid-90s in the santa clara valley. it is not record setting, but still running above normal for this time of the year. we do return to near average temperatures as we hit the end of the workweek into the holiday weekend. but as we look at your ten-day temperature outlook for san francisco, another spike of temperatures are headed our way as we would start with that abbreviated workweek after labor day weekend. and temperatures running tuesday through friday of next week and inland temperatures wil

north bay is still seeing a few showers developing and moving through 5 a.m. it is still in the north bay, but you start to see some spotty returns at 8 a.m, so don't be surprised if there is some drizzle or some showers as you wake up tomorrow morning. and then as we head into the afternoon, those clouds start to break up. you'll see a lot of sun, so rainfall projections, anywhere from nothing measurable to a few hundredths of an inch. 4/10 though in ukiah your morning temperatures will begin in the 50s and the 60s. watch out for some slippery spots if you have early morning plans tomorrow afternoon. breezy coastside upper 60s to the low 80s. today's highs were well below average. tomorrow they bounce back closer to average and then they will top average as we head towards the second half of the weekend into next week, when the heat is on, we bring in upper 90s to low 100 seconds inland 70s at the beaches. it's going to be nice beach weather and then the heat begins to ease. midweek cooling a bit on thursday and kind of in a holding pattern on friday. so ama

we made it to the mid 80's in both the north bay, the inner east bay. >> 70's around the bay itself. pretty nice day there right here about 73. and we're at 81 in san jose. all right. so we are a little warmer than this time yesterday. you can see pretty much across the board livermore turning even. but if you're santa rosa, 6 degrees warmer. so it's nothing extreme. but we have lifted temperatures up just a little bit. obviously we're talking about the clear skies that are out there and you see that confirmed by storm tracker. 4, you know, just beautiful, really. and as we look at the wind, this is the one little sticking point that again, today we're going to get a little gusty, especially from the coast and around our bayside communities. yesterday when walked out of work, it was that it was noticeable us put it that way. very windy right now at about 16 miles per hour. this is still an onshore flow. so still bringing in kind of that cooler moister air. and speaking of that, of course, here's half moon bay where it also has been really nice and sunny all day today, they kicked the

in the north bay. napa county supervisors trying to clear up the results from a county assessment report about farm workers. the report said that farmworkers in napa valley. our young single men. but this supervisor, joel gallagher says that 3 quarters of the workforce is actually parents who live with their children or support to household. according to the report, the napa valley wine industry accounts for more than 25% of the state's revenue. it employs about 9,000 farm workers, 40% of whom work in the county year round. the other 60% work. hear about 8 to 11 months of the year. if you commute by ferry to temper on, you're going to need to find another way to get around for the next 2 days. the dock is closed today and tomorrow, which means no ferry service. there is a bus running at time. at reduced schedule, though pickup will be at the timber on boulevard and main street intersections. starting next month. children can ride caltrain for a discounted rate. kids can get a one-way ticket for one dol

and so our air quality forecast is moderate for the north bay east bay and south bay. as you might expect with a sea breeze is speaking. a sea breeze is not so breezy right now. you still saw some leaves rustling in the trees. if you look. but you know what, it really strengthens as you get into the evening in the afternoon and the evening. so as much as 26 mile per hour. gusts in sandra fell 19 through the golden gate 30 in vacaville. so you see gusty winds on to dive back. pull back by tonight overnight tonight. so high pressure finally is moving away and as it does so it gives a chance for a trough. this little dip the jet stream. that's an area of low pressure that will be dominating our weather. so that's good news. if you like the cooler temperatures, in fact, if you like cool, guess what? are 6 to 10 day temperature outlook shows temperatures a little bit through normal. so the light blue slightly below normal. i think we'll take it. looks good to me now take a look at the high temperatures for today. these are significantly cooler in some spots than yesterday.
