but for the most part, the north bay mountains might get a couple of showers into the afternoon. everyone else should be okay. hour-by-hour outlook, a couple of pockets of light showers in the south bay and santa cruz mountains. it will linger all day long with partial clearing. the rest of the bay area, we'll be okay. it will be cloudy. temperatures expected to warm up a little bit. we will be keeping breezy conditions. santa rosa will climb into the 70s. the north bay didn't climb into any 70s. ukiah, 62. oakland, 63. san jose, 67 degrees. palo alto, 64. so typically we should be seeing a lot more 70s than we are. but i do have a bit of warmup on the way for you all. so once this system moves out completely, leaving all the in stability behind it as well, we will notice a warmup. that will affect us into the middle of the week. by tuesday, we will get a better idea how much sun we are tracking. we welcome that into weapons and thursday. next weekend, warming into the 70s for san francisco. get this, we're monitoring 80s for inland areas. it will bring a nice warmup and much need

we're talking about this warming trend, but if you're on the hills of the north bay maybe the diablo range or santa cruz mountainsns wednesday afternoon. thursday afternoon, especially there around the north bay higher hills north of napa county and, again, friday afternoon. we have a little upper level system that's going to add to a little bit of instability and daytime heating. there's a chance we could be seeing showers over the hill tops and the futurecast kind of picks that up around the north bay hills, diablo range and santa cruz mountains. if you zoom down, you can see any rain from these showers are limited and it looks like most should be contained to the higher hills. it's going to be an interesting forecast because we're talking about warmer temperatures, but especially thursday and friday, stay tuned. we might have to watch for the showers has we drift away from the higher hill tops of the north bay towards the evening. so that's the up thing to watch in terms of potential for some hilltop showers. strong thunderstorms build back and that's why the forecast on the bottom of the screen going on bit o

north bay. and then it continues to move a little bit closer, but by 4:00 we're seeing a pretty good coverage of rain across the north bay and parts of the santa cruz mountains but not so much in san jose. so what we see happen very often with these kinds of storm systems is that it's raining in the santa cruz mountains while the south bay is kind of looking up like where's the rain. it's mostly cloudy. but the rain is happening over the mountains and it kind of draws a lot of the moisture out. so we'll be watching out for that rain shadow effect while we see a lot of widespread rain moving in by tomorrow evening. this is around sunset. and it looks like most of the bay area will be covered by some heavy downpours along with some gusty winds going along with that. a lot of it starts to taper off by midnight on wednesday into early thursday morning but there still will be some scattered showers. by late morning on thursday into the afternoon we start to see some heavier rain returning and the potential of some thunderstorms developing as well. and that's where we could see more additional rainfall. overall we're looking at most of us getting less than an inch
