what we are going to be seeing this afternoon is going to be some really breezy conditions for north bay mountains, especially look at this vacaville and fairfield. 37 36 mile per hour gusts right now. half moon bay around 26 miles per hour. so especially our upper elevations are particularly breezy as we kick off this morning. we do have wind advisories in effect for upper elevations all across the bay leading until about 09:00am this morning. so winds will temper a little bit later on today. but as of this morning, it is definitely a breezy start to this day. now. why is it so windy? what we saw all those low pressure scooting through and all that activity along with it. now we're starting to see some sunshine, a little ridging over high pressure ridge building in. but that low is accepting the region, which is still definitely resulting in some breezy conditions. it's going to be a sunny and breezy afternoon. all in all. as for skies, we stay nice and clear today. nothing get in the way that sunshine in, particularly important as we make our way towards thanksgiving. skies will remain this way.

yesterday was pretty much a sonoma county in our north bay mountains right now we're seeing just a few sprinkles out there. it's nothing more than a few drops around santa rosa and san anselmo as well as out towards conquered in brentwood, down to woodside and a few areas of sprinkles down in the south bay, mostly south of morgan hill. as i mentioned, most of this rainfall gets here later today. that's when this first line of showers makes its way on in. and you actually can see that occurring here in future cast. by the time we reach the afternoon. there you go. rainfall light to moderate for most areas, but this will have an impact on your drive home from work, making things a little bit wet out there as you're trying to get home from the office today. we'll drive back out during overnight hours tonight. skies actually clear up pretty good for your wednesday night into thursday morning. tomorrow afternoon. our next round of showers pushes through. so both this afternoon tomorrow afternoon and then a 3rd wave of energy friday night into saturday morning. these are rainiest times of th

most of that rain will impact the coastal mountains in the north bay. the santa cruz mountains also could get inches of rain piling up. let's get you that time line so you are prepared. tomorrow we will see the temperatures cooler dipping down into the 60s with a few more high clouds. here is that first event that will come our way for tuesday morning's commute. you have been warned. we will see that rain impacting the central bay moving north. if you don't see the rain showers, you will get more sunshine. but it will be hit or miss as we go into wednesday and thursday, the peak of this event that will also bring about some wind. be careful and prepare yourself as we go through this very wet weather over the next couple of days. our inland valleys 70s today, beautiful sunshine. but those changes, make sure you are getting your umbrellas ready, our windshield wipers as you will see the rain impacting our days. san francisco very wet weather. we do have apec. there will be traffic. there will be slick roads. just give yourself that preparation time right n

north and west. as you saw there, the rain hung up. a half inch of rain for the mountains of the north bay. here is what has changed. through friday, there's still red on the map. but look what's going on here. inland northern california, inland east bay, less rain because low pressure is trend ago bit farther west, and it may take some of that rain with it for wednesday through thursday. right now looks like the bay area's best shot for widespread rain should be there midday wednesday into wednesday afternoon. thursday, a few showers. a bit drier thursday, then friday, that low scoots inland to our south. and into the weekend now. looks like we'll see those clearing skies as we head toward saturday and sunday. so we're still looking at four days of rain. i would say a little less perhaps on thursday, and those inland totals have come down, which makes sense with that low pressure staying offshore. should see the coastal mountains that see the most brain this. r. we should be clearing out as we head out into next weekend. more active weather, but not as much rain as it look add bit earlier. >> hope all these people
