if we take that number for the north bay valleys , you just keep doing this.the reason why it is a freeze warning, is because not only are you going below freezing, but, you are going far enough below it, you will stay there for several hours. that is why you get the freeze warning which means pets and plants and pipes need to be thought of the slick surfaces tomorrow, really all week long, because we have wet surfaces out there, which are getting ic tomorrow. not much reason to be hopeful that when the first storm fizzles, we will get another one but there is your forecast. no microclimates right now. wherever you are, it is low to middle 50s , a few clouds in the afternoon. i guess the microclimate is still apply, because the north bay valleys are noticeably colder than everybody else. so, that actually is an important microclimate. because, to be 67 degrees colder in the morning, and those shelter valleys where the air is drier, you don't have access to the bay, and the humidity that offers, that is where you will have real cold temperatures in the morning.

we had some in the trivalley and north bay valleys. y driving plans tomorrow and sunday, take you into the central valley. plan on hitting some intense fog. a lot more intense than you are used to. we will get help on the morning lows. north bay valleys tomorrow and monday, upper 20s , but then, it will get better. we will pull in some clouds. get a little bit of insulation. and the temperatures in the morning will improve. the daytime highs will improve. we are in the mid to upper 50s . that is pretty much, we are missing the mark by about three to four degrees, so those numbers will warm up as well. and you will see that in the seven day forecast. those numbers by the time you get to saturday and sunday will have climbed all the way up into the mid 60s so let me pull the seven day forecast. we will look at san francisco, oakland, and san jose. and take a look at that bottom line for san jose. your numbers go to 64. on saturday. which, by the way, is christmas eve. so, as we get toward this weekend, and we approach christmas, it is goi

and so that's weather service has posted a freeze warning again for the north bay valleys. also in the east bay and parts of the south and toward gilroy and morgan hill is temperatures going to get very cold, i think, especially in the north bay valleys, you could see some upper 20's there near healdsburg in around the santa rosa area near saint you can see 30's and freezing temperatures elsewhere in a place like livermore and walnut creek also in the concord inside the bay, maybe not quite as cold but cold enough. you're likely to see some frost forming inside the bay. so a frost advisory has been posted inside the bay even along the coastline and usually kept a cold temperatures all the way the beaches overnight lows about 32 in carter. 32 of them are 32. it lay about 28 in santa rosa and 37 degrees. a possibility to san francisco. these temperatures getting cold outside. already numbers dropping off in the 40's in many spots effect. it won't be long. i think within this next hour we're going to start to see some of those temperatures drop into the 30's, especially in the

the north bay valleys and the inland valleys once you get to the solana county.zy skies. that is pretty much how sunday is going to go as well. on top of this, another issue is the coastal flood advisory. we have the high tide today. king tides are happening. it is late morning. so we saw some minor flooding along the area yesterday and in the class is sick locations in . this takes us to monday night. you can see that you can see the water vapor stretched out across the pacific. they can deliver when you look at the leading edge of this a few moments agency that is where we left off. if you want to go any further than this, you have to lose a little resolution. they keep that beautiful detail for three days. so take it from monday night into tuesday. and we can see tuesday morning, that is the primary focus here . if you look at monday night through wednesday afternoon, we pick up two to three inches of rain. that is the rain, considering the landscape has had several storms on it, were we'll likely see the minor localized flood . there is a chance of rain that

north bay. but >> just to the south of youngsville and over napa. we're starting to notice some pockets of moderate rain and even throughout the southern tip of the north bay know valley, even downtown san francisco starting to notice some widespread moderate showers there as is the sunset district. and we are seeing this storm track has water and showers starts to make its way into los altos hills into sunnyvale. but overall, we are seeing a slick commute already out there this evening. so please drive safely. the heaviest rain expected to arrive after midnight. that is when the main event is going to shoot big bull's eye over the north bay valley. and that storm track going to shift to the south and east into the san francisco peninsula, east bay and south bay by tuesday morning at 5.30. that's when it's really going to be the heaviest very, very low visibility and gusty winds as well with downed trees and downed power lines going to be an issue. the main front going to continue to shift to the south and east into the east bay and south bay. before we start to notice light scattered showers shortly before your new lunchtime hour with drier conditions and better clea

that will form especially for north bay valleys and even those of you in the east bay as well. so just a heads up for your monday morning commute when tracker for tracking calm wind speeds out there right now. and it's because of those crystal clear skies and the lack of wind that we're noticing those chilly temperatures out there this evening. but all that's going to change. we're actually going to get a nice bump in temperatures for overnight lows starting tuesday night through wednesday morning. we're tracking light scattered overnight. showers starting early in the overnight hours for your wednesday morning. drying out by around mid morning where we could see about a 10th of an inch of rain or less. but it's thanks to that blanket of cloud cover. we are going to see temperatures warming up into the 30's and 40's as opposed to the 20's and 30's that we have been experiencing. so let's take a look at what you can expect for the start of your workweek monday. a very chilly start to the week. but then by wednesday, we're going to see a nice warming trend with mild temperatures

as james mentioned, it's those inland valleys, 6.80, as well as 80 highway 4, 1, 0, one in the north bayhat are dense fog advisories this morning. our inland valleys are seeing the densest of it, especially as you head out to the central valley in the delta. we're we're looking at that greatest impact of fog this morning. slow it down and give yourself extra time. if you've been driving around in the same areas past few days, you know, just how dense that fog has been this morning, much the same. now we will see a mostly cloudy day ahead of us. in addition to the gray skies because of the fog, it's just generally a bit of a cloudy one. so not the brightest of days. we've got ahead. but you will see some peeks of sunshine and brightness between the clouds. we stay dry through your monday on into tonight and into tomorrow morning. now tuesday afternoon will bring a few showers to the north bay. you can see those rolling through here. most of the rest of us won't be seeing anything from this and those light showers is the only chance of rainfall that we have between. now and christmas. so w

mud and debris flows going to be a concern not just for our north bay valleys, but bay area coastline. in addition to that, gusty winds peaking on tuesday morning, 50 to 60 miles per hour from coast to valleys. and yes, even the highest peaks of the bay area. so downed trees, downed power lines and ponding going to be an issue because of these pockets of heavy downpours. no threat of hail because this is a warm core storm from this atmospheric river tapping into some tropical moisture from hawaii. but it is going to be an overnight storm even through mid morning. still going to see lingering effects with flooded roadways possible. so just keep that in mind. we're tracking one to 3 inches from this storm alone. wednesday, going to be the driest day. but then taking a look ahead, we're going to ring in the new year with scattered showers and then buy your new year's eve sunday cooler drier forecast and then more wet weather on january. second, a week from today. so it's great to see that storm to reopening. but this one is definitely going to be the most impactful storm. the other one s

i mean, this is like back east temperatures at our north bay valleys could actually wake up to a freeze warning friday morning when that storm passes. so plan ahead. it's going to get chilly after the storm. all right. thank and the north bay students were evacuated from temple, pius high school in mill valley this morning because of a bomb threat. the school officials say about 09:30am in the morning a bomb threat was called into the building. police evacuated all of the students to the football field on campus and a reunification center was set up at the mill valley community center at one 80 camino alto where parents could pick up their children. police were searching the campus until late in the afternoon. no word on whether or not they found anything of concern. the campus was closed the rest of the day. parents were instructed not to return to the campus for anyone's belongings. the school officials say the campus will reopen tomorrow morning. at this point, it is not clear if the bomb threat was a hoax in the east bay. oakland police are looking for the person responsible for sho
