for the north bay valleys. our coldest region overnight. and currently this morning, temperatures down to about 33 degrees. so let's move along and take a look at current temperatures around the bay area. 32 in fairfield, we've got low 30s over in the inland east bay at san ramon, 3133 at livermore up in the northeast santa rosa. now, i mentioned santa rosa tonight, 29 at ukiah. that's the coldest spot right around the bay shoreline, 43 to about 42 degrees in most locations and 36 down in fremont. okay let's move along. take a look at our coastal flood advisory, which will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the bay shoreline and the north bay shoreline. we'll have high tides around the middle of the day, could produce some localized flooding in low lying areas. it won't be very widespread in the afternoon, mainly sunny skies, high clouds, high temperatures will be mainly in the mid 60s around the bay shoreline and on the coast. only low 60s in many inland east bay locations down the south bay. the mildest weather with highs in the upper

we are looking at temperatures and the north bay valleys in the mid-30s. it's a cold start to the day and the next couple of mornings will get a little colder than this. daytime highs are just fine. we will have high clouds around for the first part of the day but they will break up and you may not notice by 1:00 or 2:00 in the afternoon they are high clouds and passing by. let's look ahead. there is another chance for rain. look on the satellite and there is a little spot on the clouds and you will see a little stunned develop and we have another cut off low. sitting right off the coast of california. this is very similar to the last system. the only difference is this will not sit there for as long. we can time this out better and we can get a little better beat on it since we are closer to it coming onshore and close enough the high-resolution forecast models are able to see the leading edge of this approach. as we get toward late tuesday night there is a potential for perhaps a few showers and the north bay. let's step back because that is as far as we

some of us in the north bay valleys may go down to freezing. one night at a time, look how clear and beautiful. dry air letting us get cool reflection of the moon, it's going to be full in two nights. you can see the beautiful reflection. this is where we are going with clear skies and dry air. many of us in the bay with access to humidity in the 40s. if you're in the inland valley and the air is dry, you have to go to the middle 30s pleasanton, concord and livermore. and the sheltered north bay valleys will go the lowest. getting down to freezing for some, petaluma 30, in general it is a frost advisory tomorrow, but some communities could freeze. think about your delicate plants, bring the pets inside and consider those exposed pipes. we will look at the forecast when we come back. another curveball threatening possible rain for the middle of next week. i will show you what it looks like. for now, back to you. >>> one person is dead and another injured after a shoot out which happened on turk street in the tenderloin neighborhood this morning.

frost advisory for the north bay valleys and the east bay valleys. 10 p.m. tonight until 9 a.m.. we're looking at, at or below freezing first thing in the morning as we go hour by hour, by 4:00 tomorrow morning. many of you in the 30s and the 40s, you're going to notice those temperatures bottoming out in the low 30s for some of our coldest spots first thing in the morning. here's a live view from our mount tam cam and it is a nice view. santa rosa, 28 this morning. did you feel it? yeah, it was frosty cold. 33 in napa. i got down to 35 in redwood city, concord, 31 livermore, 30, and san jose was 39 degrees. here's a look at live doppler seven. and while we just have a couple of clouds around, we're going to see more of them as this area of low pressure. this system moves in tomorrow night from our san jose camera. you can see the shark tank. visibility is good. freeze and frost warnings again tonight. cold. tomorrow morning, rain arrives late in the day and we are looking at an unsettled pattern to continue through thursday with some chances of rain later in the week as well. y

san francisco you top up pretty much on the market for average as do many north bay valleys.few clouds, today is easy. let's get into the interesting side. and that is the approaching system with rain for next week. you will see in the seven-day forecast, saturday and sunday are fine and even a little warmer than today. but as we look toward the middle of next week we see a fairly impressive system developing in the pacific. watch of this comes together. once we get toward the second half of next week, it starts throwing widespread rain at california. we will take it from that wednesday time frame into thursday. for thursday and friday at this point, we will see what will be the most impressive system we have had yet the season. that is not saying a lot at this point, most systems that have come through have given us a quarter of an inch of rain or half an inch of rain. it is early to go to the bank on specific numbers but since there is a growing degree of confidence in the best models we have available , it is at least time to start thinking about potentials. that is the se

up in the 40s by tomorrow morning but for the chilliest spots around santa rosa and the other north bay valleyations and the try valley. a couple spots sneaking down to the upper 30s to begin the day on friday. warming up to what is close for normal this time of the year. a couple degrees above average. 1-3 degrees, as opposed to the 5-10 degrees. puts us in the lower to middle 60s for the valley, that range, it is the range for temperatures for the entire bay area. we are not seeing, really, any significant difference between the temperatures far inland in the east bay to the temperatures along the coast. they will be within four degrees of each other which is normal for this time of the year. heading towards late in november. the normal high temperature, converge on one another and a week from today, everybody is at 60-61 for the average high temperature. this is what we expect. this is what we are going to get for the next several days. let's talk about the travel forecast. it continues to be a busy travel day. traveling around the state things are good. chilly heading up towards south lake

we've had freezing temperatures in the north bay and the north east bay and frost around parts of the inland valley of the bay area. this cold air has kind of been lingering with us right through the weekend and giving us some very cool overnight lows and daytime highs have dropped a couple of degrees as well. so as you look at the freeze warning, that's in the central valley, that's purple. that's redding all the way south down towards modesto. and then there's the north bay with a frost advisory. so we'll keep an eye on all that. but basically, it's going to be cold. but the story is the next few days, clouds move in. and you know what happens when clouds move in? they warm things up and that's that's how it's going to go down. we're going to have milder overnight lows still chilly, but just not freezing and not frost, 49 degrees. right now in concord. that's pretty chilly. and that's running a little behind where it was yesterday at this time. the highs today still pleasant but not we had mid 70s a couple of days ago. low 70s. today we have mid 60s, low 60s. tomorrow we're going to get into prob

for those of you, the north bay valleys. out for that with the breezy conditions and then tomorrow we're actually going to temperatures up just a little bit. so we'll get more seasonal kind of profile of our temperatures tomorrow, as you can see, looking out for 65 in san francisco with some low 70's in spots like san jose de and over in concord and up in spots like santa rosa. so as we roll through tonight, we should stay relatively calm. we do have another system approaching us as we get into thursday night and friday. but it looks like it. it's going to have trouble holding together, but it could bring us just a chance of a shower, i think in the north bay, in particular, the rest of the week is pretty quiet. other than that. a pretty nice weekend, which is partly cloudy skies and low 70's. but next week, things get really different. we've got a big pattern coming in. so just keeping an eye on that now to see how that plays out. but right now, models are very bullish on quite a bit of rain and quite a bit of cirrus. now,
