north bay. the fog will not hold on to the north bay valleys as long.t will be a factor that is why we are not as warm as other parts. let's talk about the winds, not to much as we start the day, going through the delta. the winds, not picking up until the afternoon. the breeze, noticeable. not what you call blustery. but, just a breeze, stirring things around and keeping it cooler and delivering the cooler air late afternoon, evening. as we look down the road we are just a little bit aways from memorial day. we will see near normal temperatures in the seven-day forecast. beyond that, a descent chance of below normal temperatures settling in for the next holiday weekend. a trend forecast. i don't think we will see a cold snap or anything like that. something that we will keep you updated on getting closer to the holiday weekend. temperatures in the next seven-days. staying close to normal. six degree temperatures for the warmest. inland parts of. the difference is narrower around the bay. five degree difference from the warmest day tomorrow and near 70.

fog will be present as we start the day, along the coast, in the north bay valleys.ng to not last long. backing up through the valleys and head through the coast late morning and away from the coast late morning and afternoon. allowing the temperatures to warm up. we will start off mostly in the 50s, cooling down, just barely in the upper 40s. highs warming up to anywhere from a few degrees above average to 10-15 degrees. middle to upper 80s in the valley. the hot spots will be inland in the east bay, mix of upper 80s and lower 90s. those temperatures, 17-18 degrees above normal. middle 80s around it. middle 60s for the coast and half moon bay. the breeze will keep you from warming up far into the 60s. more of a factor for san francisco as well. 67 on saturday, the city got up to the upper 70s today, not the case today. warm, the fog slowing it down so you will not be as warm as other parts of inland bay area. in terms of the heat risk, moderate, it is only the second category. it means that you really have to ondo it to be in any trouble with the temperatures reachi

we started out as we had marine layer gray over the city into the north bay valleys. see the time out there at 8:30. watch the beautiful high resolution reflex. and melted down by 10:00, 11:00, it's done. it got pushed away and now it's gone. and for tomorrow and thursday, it is probably and almost certainly not coming back at all. we will have clear skies to start each day and clear afternoons and those will be the warmest day. friday morning it's going to come back. now watch the futurecast taking us ahead to friday and watch it fill in that bay again, so it will come in on friday. that will help bring down temperatures. but just a big view of how we're about to go through the swing in temperatures. what's been happening for the last few days, weave within under the influence of that surge, coming our way. that has helped push them through. but with changes over the next two days is that trough that will get replaced. big dominating ridge that will start to build out here. that's how you warm up. this is going to look like i like to call this, the atmosphere breathi

everybody but for the north bay valley, clear skies to start the day tomorrow.verybody else is under widespread gray. so much that it is misting along the coast. so, coast side, a couple inches of rain could fall. and even if it is a lot more widespread in the morning that is saturday afternoon. so, on the flip side of things for tomorrow afternoon. we should get more sun than we had today. especially right over the heart of the bay. that is 3:00, 4:00 in the afternoon. that is your saturday. gray to start. just as cool. you can see the rain that shows up along the coast. so, that is the way it plays out in terms of light rainfall. what happened? how did we get a dramatic change. how did it all come back with such incensity. you switch to the water vapor. look what dove down. coming right at us. changing the perspective. putting it in the future cast we will see it in the clouds. that is going by tomorrow. as soon as that leaves it pulls in the marine layer to fill in the space that it just left. and that is why the marine layer is getting a big assist tomorrow.

the fog hangs on a little longer in the north bay valleys and your temperatures will be a little cooler in the afternoon. by late morning the fog will retreat to the coast, not away from the coast, though. i think you'll have mostly cloudy skies overhead the next several days. temperatures tonight upper 40s and low 50s, not much variation, only a 5-degree spread by early tuesday morning and temperatures are going to warm up. let's look where we end up by tuesday afternoon. up to around 80 degrees in san jose, 80 in los gatos, 82 in morgan hill. the onshore breeze isn't going to climb over the santa cruz mountains, so your temperatures manage to hit 80s for most of the next several days. temperatures in the east bay also 70s, half moon bay underneath the deck of clouds, you'll be stuck in the upper 50s. low 60s in san francisco. very close to where we're supposed to be this time of year and temperatures in the north bay low to mid-70s, not mid- to upper 70s to around 80 degrees in other parts of the bay area because of the fog in the first part of the day. the winds pick up throughout th

some of the cooler spots in the north bay valleys, more efficient at collecting cool air where temperatures start off tomorrow in the mid- to upper 40s. through the day tomorrow we'll see temperatures getting into the neighborhood it about 6 or 7 degrees above normal. let's look at forecast highs for tuesday, right around 70 in san francisco, the average 64, 75 degrees for oakland and temperatures inland reaching mostly into the 80s, low to mid-80s on a widespread basis, some of the warmest spots in the upper 80s by tomorrow afternoon. the onshore breeze won't completely leave us which is why coastal parts of the bay area will only be a degree or two above normal. it's kind of a battle between the winds farther up in the atmosphere offshore and ground level wind staying onshore and getting gusty during the afternoon, gusts in 25-mile-an-hour range, not a blustery day, but the wind is going to be noticeable in the afternoon. let's look at the seven-day forecast. temperatures will drop back down to near normal wednesday and thursday. then we arrive at the cool part of the forecast, upper 60s

tomorrow morning within 2 or 3 degrees of normal for this time of year and the cool spots in the north bay valleys are dropping down to or barely below 50 degrees early tomorrow morning and then temperatures warm up, good looking dog walking forecast for a couple good looking pups, shady and pawnee bringing us the dog walking forecast for tomorrow. they leave in san jose where the morning cloud cover doesn't last long. should make up to the mid- to upper 70s tomorrow afternoon, good dog walking weather across the board, temperatures coolest near the coast, around 60 there, mostly 60s and a few low 70s around the bay with a mix of 70s and a few low 80s farther inland and the warmer spots a couple degrees above 80 by tomorrow afternoon. the winds pick up late afternoon hours. you can see the strongest gusts mid to late afternoon into early evening in the 25 to 30-mile-an-hour range, the onshore breeze pushing fog back out. there will be plenty of fog and low cloud cover for the start of beta breakers on sunday, low 50s sunday morning. race starts at 8:00, should see a little sunshine breaking throug

more 70s on the board tomorrow, including around san jose, tri-valley and those north bay valleys stillging on to the 60s, closer to san francisco and oakland. now monday and tuesday, 80s trying to make a comeback in those east bay valleys. i think as we pass midweek tuesday into wednesday, a few more of those upper 70s to low 80s inland, including mid 80s in reach around vacaville and fairfield and san jose, could get close to 80 degrees by wednesday and thursday. so the long range forecast continues to keep rain in the pacific northwest for us. warm temperatures will continue, looks like as we go through the next seven days. warmest days for san francisco will be around midweek upper 60s, so not a big warm up there, but valleys which have started the weekend in the upper 60s 70s to wrap up on memorial day. monday looks good for outdoor plans and then 80s. i think this is the fourth week in a row coming back for the middle part of the week. it's like copy and paste we get in these trends. for the first three months of the year. we had rain every weekend. yes, we've gotten rid of that,

north bay really light up there. and at this through tomorrow morning, which is when we would notice the stronger winds you've got 30 mile an hour gusts going through some of the north bay valleys 20 mile an hour winds for most of the rest of the bay as well. and that should be the peak of it tomorrow in the morning, but it's not the only time we're going to have offshore winds. what's what happens on thursday. you're going to see the offshore winds really do a number in terms of the way air is getting moved through the bay. see that offshore wind right there if we visually see this in a somewhat different way those offshore winds this is the relative humidity. and now you're seeing how we're getting all this dry air that's getting filtered through the bay and so much force taking it with the offshore winds. you can actually see the dry air getting blown out to sea. it's such a cool vision. realization, but the reason why that's useful is because at least it gives us an idea. this is this is an offshore wind events, the air gets drier. drier air can warm up more. it's also down sloping a bit, too, and that will help warm things up a little bit, so the to do go hand in hand with

low 50s in san francisco and oakland and the north bay valleys dipping to the upper 40s around santa rosa and petaluma. your temperatures will be a little cool through the day tomorrow as well. tomorrow's forecast highs only reach the upper 60s in the north bay while other inland parts of the bay area mostly get to the mid- to upper 70s, around 80 degrees near antioch and brentwood. mid- to upper 60s for san francisco and oakland and upper 50s along the coast in pacifica and half moon bay tomorrow, not a surprise this time of year to see 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s jumbled together on the map. should be farther into the 80s heading into the first couple days of next week for inland parts of the bay area. short term our fog pattern will repeat itself and our wind pattern will repeat itself as well. the strongest gusts are in the 20 to 25-mile-an-hour range mainly closer to the coast and those gusts will pick up by saturday afternoon mostly around 25 miles an hour with the straight onshore breeze pretty much directly out of the west tomorrow afternoon. let's look at the seven-day forecast. w

north bay. so the north bay valleys, the higher the higher elevations up towards solano county as well.s begins early tomorrow morning, 1:00 until 11:00 wednesday morning. so in general it's for wednesday morning. winds could be gusting up above 40 miles an hour. it is that dry northerly wind that warms up the bay area. and you'll definitely notice that change for tomorrow. right now, across a good portion of the west, you can see maybe some rain showers up in the pacific northwest, some cloud cover there, but we have a quiet weather pattern up and down the state from eureka towards san francisco, down towards santa barbara, down toward los angeles as well. we'll check out some of the current wind reports out there for the 4:00 hour, and there's a bit of a breeze developing, especially out toward vacaville, gusting to 21 miles an hour out towards san jose, winds gusting to nearly 20 miles an hour in sfo, westerly breeze at 14. here is a look at our live camera looking out towards san francisco and current temperatures in the 60s and the 70. probably tomorrow we'll have a few spots right

tomorrow for the interior, north bay mountains, interior north bay valleys and over into the delta andinez strait and much of northern sacramento valley as well. wind speeds up to about 40, gusts up to 45mph. right now, though, we're looking at a warm up that is not being inhibited by the wind flow we are four, five, six degrees warmer than at this time yesterday. more specifically, let's take a look at san francisco, where the temperature reading is 62. we have upper 60s at oakland, hayward and redwood city, 71 at san jose, 57 at half moon bay. looking northward right now, relatively cool, comparatively speaking at petaluma 66. but we have low to mid 70s at santa rosa and napa, mid 70s, fairfield, concord and livermore. let's check out our forecast headlines. expect very warm days ahead. summerlike heat, in fact, will be developing. it is already warming peaks on thursday, friday and saturday here in the bay area with the temperature range up to, in fact, above 90 degrees in the hottest inland areas and up to nearly 90 degrees around the bay. but for tonight, mild but breezy condition

and then it comes back in the evening back into the valleys, even stretching into the north bay valleysll be starting the day. so pretty mild and we'll be warming up all around. we could see some 80's once again. we did see low 80's in livermore in concord today. so 79 degrees for you in santa rosa, flirting with 80 72 in napa and upper 70's in novato. 59 degrees over in san francisco. 54 in half moon bay, as you make your way to the south bay low 50's for you. here is a tenet town outlook. it looks like we have another warm up coming up late next week. so we're going to be holding on to the 70's from inland the bay and the coast, though notice will be in the 50's and 60's for the next couple of days and inland is where that weather story is where we could see close to 90 degrees inland on friday. and then it looks like next weekend. 80's, mostly sunny. so we're going it's going to feel like summer once again. >> today is the unofficial start of summer. so it looks and feels like summer. and i think the clouds should be clearing out as the days go by. so we won't see those as much cloud

in the mid to upper 80s inland, you could see 82 into san jose, 70 bayside 80s across those north bay valleys also pretty warm temperatures starting to come down a little bit, but a big drop still expected as we start off next weekend. the cooler start to next weekend could see highs around the bay area going from those 80s down into the 60s, so high pressure will give up some ground as we head towards next weekend. looks like we could see a few showers around the sierra as well. cooler changes as we head into saturday before those temperatures likely recover for a little bit by this time next weekend. so we've got a couple days of warming in san francisco's case, though not a lot upper 60s and maybe a day of 70s for tuesday. cooling for the second half of the week and valleys will have a chance of some 80s as early as tomorrow. tuesday. clearly the warmest day, and then cooler as we head into next weekend, though a little bit of a roller coaster ride of temperatures considering or going from 80 to some upper 60s right now. looks to start next weekend. the lows kind of pretty much stay around

but where you do -- you are still going to be in the 90s for the north bay valleys today.is out here. and if we keep that view i'm going to show you the difference between those numbers right now on your screen and how much cooler they are from where you were yesterday. a big difference shows up. some places as much as ten degree drop and half-moon bay, you are going to be 11 degrees cooler today. because you are on the leading edge of that on shore influence which has already started. san francisco about five degrees cooler today. because we saw that. cool air spilling in through the gate. but you are going to be about four degrees warmer today in concord than you were yesterday. let's put that number on there. you are back in the low 90s out there today. and that's the story for pretty much all of the inland valleys. today is a little hotter than yesterday. saturday, maybe not all that different. sunday, that's going to be better. we'll take a look at that coming up in the complete forecast in just a few minutes. gianna, how's the drive look? >>> doing okay for the most

north bay. the heat risk tomorrow does reach the moderate category. those are the orange-shaded areas, inland in the east bay, santa clara valley and some higher elevations in the north bay. the orange disappears saturday to sunday. temperatures retreat to closer to average levels for inland parts of the bay area beginning on sunday. we aren't likely to set any records tomorrow. all of our inland record high temperatures will be about 9 to 12 degrees out of reach by tomorrow afternoon. let's look at the seven-day forecast and start inland with the heat one more day and then just the warmth is on which doesn't kind of sound as good but still pleasant. on monday upper 70s and hovering just above 80 degrees through most of next week. around the bay it's one more day of a few more degrees above normal, mid-70s and backing down to the upper 60s and low 70s through the rest of the weekend into next week and along the coast low to mid-60s tomorrow and then you retreat, upper 50s for highs sunday and monday with more fog and low cloud cover lingering longer into the day, more sunshine peeking through the clouds the rest of next week allowing temperatures to warm

even making its way well into the inland valleys across the bay area, but retreating pretty quickly in the east bay and santa clara valley, not as much in the northduced visibilities around santa rosa by 10:00 tuesday. we should see numbers climb midday, the fog retreating to the coast by lunchtime. i don't think it retreats away from the coast. the may gray will be present along the coast likely through the upcoming weekend. tonight upper 40s and low 50s and how much we warm up tomorrow depends where you are. inland spots will reach the mid- to upper 70s around concord. the inland heat has retreated. the dogs won't have to stick to the shadows for a walk tomorrow. the fog should be gone by about 9:00 or so in the east bay. let's look at highs across the rest of the bay area tuesday afternoon, reaching the neighborhood of 80 degrees in san jose and much of the santa clara valley. the santa cruz mountains block the southwest wind from delivering much cool air into the santa clara valley, mid- to upper 70s inland in the east bay, redwood city, mid-70s fremont, upper 50s along the coast for half moon bay. you're stuck there to around 60 degrees the

it's the inland valleys north bay, east bay, santa clara valley that will have the chance of 80s for next couple of afternoons. and for the weekend, things will be dry, but more wind and a little more cooling as we head towards sunday. so tomorrow morning, notice how the low clouds spill inland. what we're seeing right now in san francisco eventually heads out through the carquinez strait and banks up there along the altamont pass for the morning. but then, just like we had today, sunshine, inland temperatures climbing into the 70s and 80s. but on the coast, a different story as this is may, but this kind of looks like our summer microclimates as you're about to see with their afternoon temperatures. we begin with temperatures in the mid 50s clouds and then giving way to sunshine inland around lunchtime, mid 70s around livermore and san jose. now we're starting to see a few more 80s popping up around livermore and san jose. 90s for ukiah and clear lake. this trend will continue into thursday, then by the weekend we begin to see some cooling daytime highs dropping a little bit on satu

overnight tonight for the north bay and off to the east in the central valley, the winds will be acceleratingth bay just after midnight until just before noon tomorrow. as we wind the clock forward, the area of high pressure and that big area will be producing those gusty winds, shifting you around just a little bit where they should lessen by thursday and friday and not as strong and pictures will still be well awest virginia normal. not just at winds, but the humidity level, pretty low especially through the central valley. those numbers will be low, but when they're at the strongest, the humidity will be low and the lack between the strongest winds and the strongest humidity combined with the fact that we would have so much rain over the weekend will help mitigate the fire threat. when they're at their lowest, the winds won't be as strong. by the time the winds will start to die down to a greater extent, the humidity levels at that point won't be impactful. the wind is not moving quickly in the background. as we would look outside and check our current temperatures, we are looking to the n

spreading away from the coast through the golden gate and around the bay and also into the inland valleys of the northay. but it's not lasting long. it should back out of the inland valleys by 9:00 to 10:00 at the latest. then the warm up is on. we start off with temperatures mostly in the 50s. some coolest spots could dip into the upper 40s, and temperatures will be at least a couple degrees above average on the cool end of the spectrum or 10 to 15 degrees above average inland. a mix of upper 80s and low 90s inland east bay. those are the hot spots on the map by saturday afternoon. only 64 along the coast at half moon bay. the on shore influence definitely returning throughout the weekend, and temperatures will be even cooler sunday. temperatures in the north bay also reaching into the 80s, but mostly low to mid-80s. that's the influence of the fog. even a couple of hours of that in the morning means the sun's energy goes into dissipating the fog instead of warming up temperatures. looking at the ten-day temperature outlook for livermore. you can see the drop by sunday and monday, but temperatures wi
