underway in what the prosecutors call an elaborate plot to make profit off luxury vehicles in north bethesda. it's caught with someone else's credit. this is a story we broke first. kevin lewis joins us now to tell us about it. how does this work? >> well, leon, earlier this year, montgomery authorities filed charges but the case is so coplex that the feds had to step in. they are now probing an exemployee at this luxury car dealership to accuse him of concocting an illegal strategy to make a lot of extra cash. >> the feds are investigating the former sales manager at the manhattan imported cars in bethesda for fraud. special agents say the manager was part of an international crime syndicate that bought fancy cars hiring phony customersed in other cases used random people stolen identity. the vehicle, many range rovers were shipped overseas and sold three times the u.s. sticker price. >> represents 220 d.c. area car dealers and says this is a problem. >> 30,000 issue is not an issue -- $30,000 value is not an issue. the higher price point the bigger the issue. >> it impacts their foreign sa
