the president's going to be departing within the hour to go to north carolina. this is going to be his third trip to that state since coming into office. and he's going to be, of course, talking about the jobs numbers today. this is the first time in awhile that the economy's added 162,000 jobs. but it's really not enough. it's not fast enough when you consider that the economy has lost 8.4 million jobs in this recession. he'll say that there's still a long way to go and he'll go to a plant that makes advanced battery technology. it's been able to expand its business with the recovery act grant. so he'll try to show what the administration has done on jobs and what it still plans to do on jobs. he's going to talk about some ideas he's had and get congress to push through plans such as using t.a.r.p. money to expand loans to small businesses. >> all right. athena jones at her post at the white house this morning, thanks so much. >>> big changes in the way foreign passengers traveling to the u.s. are screened. the obama administration is announcing new procedures
