north carolina lawmakers are working to put a temporary stop to a last-minute re-districting decision by the u-s district court of appeals. it's a story we first told you about over the weekend. republican lawmakers say they believe the federal trial court wasn't aware people have already started voting for the march primary. judges originally said they'd give lawmakers two weeks to update two congressional districts - covering elizabeth city. norfolk police have identified the city's latest homicide victim. police say someone shot and killed 21- year-old kevin green. it happened outside his home on anderson street in the huntersville area sunday morning. detectives spent several hours on the scene investigating and knocking on doors for information. investigators haven't released information about a possible suspect. investigators are working to find out what started this fire in portsmouth on heather road. no one was inside when it began. crews found flames and heavy smoke in the garage when they got there two residents in the house got out ok. tonight, andy fox investigates a deadly police involved shooting in suffolk
