this is a group from north carolina state university women in science and engineering and they come every year and hang out with me and stick around for the newscast. thank you for coming and we have one meteorologist among the women. a lot of having these cows come and they were a great group. dewayne reeves one of our viewers and look at this. earlier this evening as the sun was rising a very artistic eye that he has. thank you for sending this in as the moon was rising it is beautifully captured in between the bars. figured -- a gorgeous picture. some of you were watching the clouds and rain. we have some showers moving in rain along the southern viewing area. we have had some rain and wake county. this will continue to stream and from the south. might even have some thunder in our southeastern counties. roads are wet and we have almost at 410 7 inches of rain. at the airport in raleigh it is 48 degrees cloudy skies and it's a little bit low and coming out a number that has been coming up over the last several hours. it was in the teens earlier this evening and now at 38. check out the
