on the other side the country, more than 60 million people from north georgia to maine are under a winter weather alert. places like boston could see up to 8 inches of snow today. cnn's meteorologist tells us what we can expect. >> the biggest concern is not just the large fires but the small fires that could turn into big fires once these winds increase. we expect that transition to take place tonight and carry into the day on sunday. here's a look at the major fires we're dealing with. these winds expected to be around the same area. once we get to say around 10:00, 11:00, we're looking at winds around 40 to 60 miles per hour. we're talking about even as high as 70 overnight. that takes some. smaller fires and large fires we already have and allow them to expand larger. not to mention it could take the smallest of embers and carry them into other places where we don't even have existing fires at this time. those are going to be the big concerns for firefighters and a lot of folks that live there at least in the short term. we're also talking about smoke. take a look at this. extending 1

snow has moved through the southern part of the country, hitting georgia and is heading north over the and in to tomorrow. president trump will speak to the folks on the line there. and then he will move on through. and go to the rally and begin his speaking. so we are going to stay close on all of this. as we watch it play out this evening. no doubt he will talk about the economy. no doubt he will make some comments on roy moore. that's obviously what everybody is going to be watching for to see sort of how strong those comments are. as guy benson pointed out a little while ago, he certainly hasn't been shy in his support in his tweets throughout the course of this week he says roy moore doesn't believe he did anything wrong and the people of alabama are the ones that need to make this decision in terms of what they will do on tuesday night. so the white house, as we said, some good economic news today. this morning we got a look at the november jobs numbers. almost 230,000 jobs added next month. expectation was for. unemployment still 4.1%. markets moved higher on the news. one dispu

right now we've got heavy snow even around the city of atlanta, georgia, but snow also extending up into the north east as we speak. this is where it's going to shift, so really the bigger totals for today are going to be for places like washington, d.c., philadelphia, new york, even up towards boston and portland, maine. widespread you're talking about 2 to 4 inches. but you have to understand with all the snow that the southeast got yesterday, that means they've had more snow than areas of the north. take for example, jackson, mississippi has had five inches of snow just from yesterday. minneapolis has only had 3 inches of snow this season. but take another look for example, wood valley, georgia, 10 inches of snow. that's more than alaska has seen so far this season and even denv denver, colorado, only a little less than what areas of georgia, mississippi and alabama saw from this storm yesterday. >> absolutely unbelievable those snow totals there. >>> coming up next in the alabama senate race, a full endorsement for roy moore by donald trump but it's still not enough to convince some young repu
