yesterday we had real strong storms in north hampton, mass. i believe the national weather service made its way to survey that damage in north hampton. we're talking a microburst not a tornado. initially there was a tornado warning with some of those storms. outside yonkers tuesday we had damage due to straight line winds, 70 to # 0-mile-per-hour winds. today the northeast very settled. a few isolated showers this morningment likely to see a chance of showers in charleston, south carolina where we had pretty significant rainfall. columbia potentially this afternoon. florida, yesterday if you had seen the radar in the afternoon, we had showers across the northern portion of the state. today, again, we have a similar setup with more chances for showers. keep that in mind as you go througho your day. more of that potential flooding across 75, 95 as well and up towards atlanta a chance for isolated showers. temperaturewise, a few cool spots. 50s boston northward. 70 in charlotte. and there's a look at the region. let's check out your local forecas

it was two weekends ago that they were swimming off north hampton beach in long island and they closed down the beaches. they were freaking out. basking sharks are luge but can't hurt you. it barely has teeth and just eats plankton. park officials will examine the shark to figure out what happened to it before they bury it in the sand dune on the beach^ , they tell us. basking sharks can be really big but they can't hurt you. their teeth are tiny and all they eat is plankton. they're scary, but they won't hurt. speaking of sharks, capitol hill is hosting what could be the largest gathering of shark attack survivors ever. today, nine shark attack victims are pushing our congress to protect the very animals that almost killed them. one of those survivors is a man named mike ciewntses. he was surfing when a tiger shark ripped off his right foot. now after rehabilitation and a new prosthetic leg, mike is surfing yet again and he is live with us. good to see you, mike. >> hello, shepard. shepard: what was this, like ten years ago this happened to you? >> a little over ten years ago. >> you
