peru. it feels like this has been a repeated story. this season has been exceptionally intense across the country especially north of lima where you've been getting this on shore flow of moisture out here. that's been causing some severe flooding. i'll show you some of the video we have coming out of this area here just outside of lima where severe flooding has been rather intense. you can see with these incredible aerial images. the death toll has risen from 50 to 62 now in recent days. over 500,000 people have been displaced and it's for the reasons you can see here. people having to be evacuated and across the road using the efforts right there. the forecast, unfortunately, we are still in wet season and really last all the way out to april. we're still expecting more showers out across this area. that's going to be an ongoing story as we look ahead. also i want to take your attention here across the middle east and specifically in iraq even extending down towards the arabian gulf. we have an area of low pressure tracking across the east. it's bringing scattered showers in tehran today. some moisture flowing into turkey. i want to take

north later today. but for most of us tomorrow. patrick says is there an el nino forming? there is hints of it off the waters of peru, off of the coast there. exceedingly warm. yet the area where we measure el nino is called the oni3.4 is neutral. what has been across the pacific, the atmosphere has not been in sync. we've been waiting for westerly wind bursts. so we will keep an eye on it. there are a few pieces in place but not the whole puzzle. but it would be really a fast turn around considering the one we had last year which as you know didn't do a darn thing for us but it wouldn't stop raining up in the pacific northwest. not all el ninos are alike. we're not there yet. san francisco rainfall 29.39 inches to date. we get forecasting for tomorrow one inch of rain. so that would send them over 30 inches of rain. that has only happened 22 times in their weather history. the last time it occurred was in 2005, when they had 34.43. and records began in 1849. 169 years. i'm using the rain year, not the water year. the water year is october 1st. i'm old school and i'm not changing now. that's the way i roll. all righ
