this morning across the north of scotland we do have a peppering of showers. s well. some rural areas, temperatures in towns and cities falling. for northern ireland, a bright start. the cloud starts to break up. the same in parts of northern england but we have a weather front draped across the centre of england and wales which is bringing cloud, rain, drizzle and also fog this morning to watch out for. so do take extra care if you are travelling. slowly, the fog will lift as the ghost you can see the rain is fairly ensconced across northern parts of england, the irish sea but behind it, we hang on to the sunshine and showers scenario for scotland, northern ireland on the far north of england. some brighter brea ks far north of england. some brighter breaks developing further south but temperatures still quite healthy full stop in london, 17 celsius. 10-12 full stop in london, 17 celsius. 10—12 as we push up towards the north of the country. here is our weather front slipping southwards overnight. taking a band of cloud with it. behind it, clear spells. overni

one or two overnight showers to be had in the north—east of scotland. the north channel down towards north of wales and on towards the manchester area. murky fare in the south—west. elsewhere, a bit of brightness, a bit of sunshine. enough cloud for some odd rain here and there. that is how the day will tend to go on. the chance of one or two showers in the eastern shores of both england and scotland. and there will still quite a bit of cloud on the north—westerly down through the irish sea, in towards wales, the north—west of england, the north and west midlands. enough to give a showery burst of rain. passing through on the breeze. the high, 16—17. possibly 18. the cloud fills in late in the day in the north and west of scotland. weak weather fronts here dragging in the far north. all the while, the world cup qualifiers going on across europe. it looks like there are a variety of conditions, as you'd expect. england seeing the wettest weather in lithuania. coming closer to home for monday. again, a lot of cloud around. a lot of dry weather as well. on

of cloud across central and southern scotland. some zones of clear weather — northern ireland, northern england, fog here. far northern england, fog here. far north chilly start to wednesday. some brightness for the far north of scotland, more cloud for the likes of edinburgh and glasgow. slightly milder start as a result. a few fog patches early on for northern ireland. but things brightening up quickly and a fine start across northern england. again, on the cool side. eight or nine degrees at 8am. a lot of cloud, though, through east anglia into the midlands, the southern half of wales, southern england as well. quite misty and murky for some hills and coasts and outbreaks of rain. these various zones outbreaks of rain. these various zones of weather, this cloudy zone in the south, this brighter zone further north, will only very, very slowly edge northwards as we go through the day. northern scotland probably holding on to the best of the sunshine all day long. winds not particularly strong. and temperatures around 11 to 17 degrees. but increasingly humid feel across the south. thursday then sta rts across the south. thursday then starts off w

and, across the far north of scotland, even a touch of grass frost in one or two areas, particularlys. so let's have a look at the morning weather, then. this is 8:00am, and it really is looking very cloudy, very dull in many areas, temperatures around 11 or 12 degrees. and then we move a little bit further northwards, into northern wales, the north—west of england, around cumbria there, and into northern ireland. here, i think, some sunshine first thing in the morning. it is going to feel a lot fresher, so a much better start to the day. but, even here, notice that there are a few spots of rain through the lowlands, here in glasgow and edinburgh. but this is really light, and we are back into the sunshine at 8:00am in the morning across most of yorkshire, and then back into that weather front across the midlands, east anglia, and down into the south—east. now, through the course of the morning, into the afternoon, what is going to happen with this weather front is it'll move a little bit further northwards. but it is also going to introduce some very muggy air, so it is not going to
