we're under the influence of the north pacific high. what's happening in these climate simulations is those subtropical highs, more or less, are strengthening, on the other hand if you live in seattle you might be more encouraged because it looks like there's a tendency for latitudes to get wetter and that wet goes further north. next one. well, here we have in this case just one scenario and he's imposed the warming on a hydraulic model and this is the remain of the watershed, this is the sierra nevada and this is the infraction of april first and period surrounding 2060 and that around 2090, and you can see we're eroding the lower elevations of snow and by the time we reach 2090 in this case warmed by 2 degrees celsius, we lose 50 percent of the california snow pact. it's not in the snow. next one. that changes the hydro graph as you heard this morning. so this is october through september the aggravateded sierra run off. more in the winter period, and less in the spring and summer by a bit. this is a recent flood. not a big one. but

just offshore you can see on the north coast, rain already approaching from the pacific.lly interesting here, it's not just this one system that you can see clearly defined offshore. it is the colder air and systems to follow that will give progressively colder as we go through the week and snow levels are really going to drop. overall, this is typical for february. we haven't seen it for quite some time. the rain coming back in for your monday. most of the rain, at least the more significant rain will lurk around the north bay. as we head into tuesday and wednesday, the heaviest rain of the week likely coming in for tuesday afternoon. and as the cold air swings on through, don't be surprised to see a little hail, or maybe some thunder as we head towards wednesday. the really interesting part will be the snow levels. by wednesday afternoon into thursday, we could see snow possibly as low as 2,000 feet. so some of the bay area peaks could be dealing with the snow. monday you could see the rain moving through for the first half of the day. tuesday evening you could see the

north bay. with this zone flow setting up over the pacific, one thing you'll notice, as the temperatures colimbing up a little bit, temperatures in the 60s for the first half of the week, then wednesday things start to get more active. winds are going to crank up. on futurecast, most of the showers from monday into tuesday really hanging out here in the north bay, but tuesday night into wednesday is when you start to see the rain come flying on in. some of that rain could get heavy at times. futurecast pointing out the accumulations in terms of rain fall should be in the north bay early part of the week. tuesday night into wednesday, that's when the rain should fill in. clouds spilling in late. as we head into tomorrow, we'll see temperatures at least for the south bay at least mild. temperatures getting close to 60. no chance for rain at the start of the week for san jose. a chance of seeing some rain. the big day for the weather, this week will be wednesday, you'll see it coming up here in the seven-day forecast. some wind and some heavy rain for the middle part of the week. but look at those te

there is a storm in the pacific northwest, the green shows the rain. all that is to the north of california, that will change by next week. the tail end will come into the bay area by monday bringing the chance for rain. it doesn't look like the one day deal. we will see what weather for monday, tuesday and much of this coming week. tomorrow morning and be below freezing for fairfield but just above the freezing point which is 32 for napa and santa rosa. north and snow to the south and a few flurries across the city. today, that weather pattern has been replaced with a more of a pacific air mass. as we're looking at increasing clouds across coit tower here. and slight chance of light showers across the north bay today. and into the south bay. a little more sunshine breaking out between that cloud cover. temperatures up about 5-10 degrees this morning. and where we've been over the last few mornings, into the upper 20s and then upper 30s with daytime highs upper 50s and low 60s under partly cloudy skies. with as mentioned, a slight chance of a few showers to the north. it shouldn't amount to much. overnight, we will hang on to a little valley fog but temperatures should stay above freezing everywhere for a change. i think the big chill is gone for now. we will return to warm wet and windy here through midweek. we've got another weather maker on the way. this first one is mainly to our north. and it may bring a few light showers into the north bay here this afternoon, into this evening. but the big one we want to watch for is tuesday night, into wednesday. the winds will ramp up.

we have dangerous conditions in the north bay as we have a system of low pressure really impacting the pacificthe northern-most portion of the state is spinning off showers for us this morning. and some of the showers are now pushing to the peninsula. it is not just the north bay seeing the action right now. expect slick roadways in san francisco here in the next 15 to 20 minutes as the showers will continue to slowly move through as we head throughout the morning. now, what will happen is that system of low pressure will head off to the north as we head into the latter portion of the day. so i don't think the showers are something we'll have to deal with throughout the holiday. 52 degrees in fremont. we should be looking to partly cloudy skies for the second half of the day. 56 in oakland. 55 in los gatos. nice and mild at 3:00 p.m. that's typically when daytime highs come in this time of the year. for tomorrow, 57 degrees. another cold start. a little bit of frost anticipated. and then the next round of showers comes in for the latter part of thursday into friday. low snow levels once again

pacific. this is going to be a more mild pattern but it is moisture-rich. as soon as that moisture hits the coastal mountains of the north bay, especially for tomorrow into tuesday, we'll see showers, especially north of the golden gate. now the wettest day of the week and the stormiest part of the seven-day forecast will come in tuesday night and wednesday. surface low forming off the oregon coast is going to crank up the winds out of the south and spill some rain our way. in terms of the timing, as we head towards tomorrow morning, along the santa cruz mountains, i think there might be enough list for some of that moisture. you may see a few sprinkles around highway 17. but the computer models indicating most of the shower activity will be aimed at north of the goldin' gate monday into tuesday. in fact, during tuesday afternoon, most of that moisture heads off further to north. and look at this, midnight tuesday night into tuesday morning, the rain is back. we will see pretty gusty winds as well. then some clearing by wednesday afternoon, followed up by another round of showers as we head into thursday. overnight tempe
