a triple shooting that happened around 11:00 last night on the 1300 block of rush street in north philadelphia. when police arrived, they found two victims on the grounds, with gunshot wounds to their torso and chest. both males, 117 years olds, the other in mid 20's, returned to temple university hospital where they died. police say while they were investigating, a third victim from the scene showed up at temple hospital with a gunshot wounds to the arm. he is in stable condition. police say the shooters road up on bikes, began firing several shots, down rush street, they road off, police say, it is unclear which of the three victims may have been an intended target. >> based on balistic evidence, we know that there were numerous shots fired. we found multiple spent shell casings, at the intersection of 13th and rush street. most of these shell casings were just feet away from where the two victims were laying. so it appears that the shooters fired shots from close proximity at these victims. we don't know which of the three victims were the intended target. >> police don't have a motive for

now he's been killed just a block from where he lives in north philadelphia. his family has been outside this bar all night speaking with police and talking about the kind of person 46-year-old howard white was. they say he was doing what he does best when he was killed. defending people. they say white, a marine was with a friend near 5th and spencer streets when a man who appeared to be on drugs pulled up looking to rob the bar. they say white tried to talk him out of it and then things took a violent turn. the man pulled a gun and shot the victim in the head and the stomach. white's family says he should be credited with saving many lives inside that bar. >> howard tried to talk to him and say listen man, don't do this, come on, don't do this and he got him away from the bar and in the process he got shot in the head and many the torso and died instantly. >> american hero. all right? and it hurt me to my heart to see my heart lay in the street like a dog. and it hurts me. >> reporter: the suspect was eventually caught. police say the 25-year-old man from no

now we've 17 year old killed in north philadelphia. ve from police headquarters where the investigation continues. the triple shooting happened last night around 11:00 on the 1300 block every rush street in north philly. when police arrived they found two victims on the grounds with gunshot wounds to their torso and chest. both males, 117, other mid 20's, rushed to temple university hospital where they died. police say while they were investigating, a third victim from the scene showed up to temple hospital with a gunshot wounds to the arm. he is in stable condition police say the shooters read up on bikes, began sharing several shots down rush street. they road off. police say unclear which of the three victims may have been intended target. >> based on balistic evidence we know there were numerous shots fired. we found multiple spent shell casings at the intersection of 13th and rush streets. most of these shell casings were just feet away from where the two victims were laying. so it appears that the shooters fired shots from close p
