you know, north port is not a large police department.d we're partners with them. it is not an f.b.i. matter per se. it is their case. but in the case like this one of two things happen. one we were leading up to this anyway, this search warrant, which would have been normal anyway, or something did happen in the last 24 hours which would have shown us an immediate need to execute this warrant. it could have gone before a judge with those facts and circumstances and executed this warrant as they are doing right now. so the answer to your question is not an easy one but the f.b.i. is working in connection with all our law enforcement partners on this and you mentioned earlier about the search yesterday and what led up to where we're at right now, it's a combination of a lot of factors which a lot of us don't know right now at this point. >> dana: thanks. stand by. i want to get to joe concha. one of the interesting things. a lot of media coverage from the beginning of when she was first reported as a missing person. there has been cameras

north port police centered their search for laundry on a nature reserve near his home. but today they shifted focus of former fbi special agent says investigators could have obtained a search warrant early on there was sufficient probable cause since he had her van in his driveway. and had not reported her disappearance for 10 days yesterday, authorities discovered what they believe are gabby's remains. in wyoming, a travel blogger may have given law enforcement a clue to gabby's whereabouts after discovering she captured the couple's white ford van on video last month. she shared that video with the f b. i got my gopro footage and lo and behold, gabby sand was on their days before gabby went missing. police responded to the couple's van after a witness says. they saw them getting into a fight today. fox news obtained the audio from that 911 call stopped. they ran up and down the sidewalk. he proceeded, the hitter hopped in the car. and they drove off. the county coroner's office says it will conduct an autopsy on tuesday to officially identify the remains in north port

say he's a person of interest in the case the fbi today executed a search warrant on his house in north port, florida. multiple officers swarmed the home this, mo and then again this afternoon he and gabby left on a cross-country road trip in early july and only he returned. police say they now have no idea where he is, and his parents say they haven't seen him since last tuesday. yesterday officials in wyoming announced they found remains matching gabby's description in the spread creek camping area of grand teton national park. they say they were searching the area outlined in red here, but also yesterday a blogger posted a video on youtube saying she and her husband saw what looks to be xwaby's van in that exact place where the square is on august the 27th, around 6:00 p.m. take a look here this is her husband driving past the van, see it there. the video slowed down. you can see the black ladder in the back of the storage rack on the roof here's another view through the driver's window. it appears to match video of the van uploaded to youtube from gabby's account, and if you look closely

first, let's go to charles watson who is live in north port, florida. charles? >> hi, jon. really turned into a two-part investigation. on the one hand, you have got authorities searching for gabby petito out west, and now you have several agencies searching for her boyfriend brian laundrie who investigators fear could be in danger. the police department tells us about 50 officers including fbi agents are on the ground conducting this search. they spent most of the day looking for brian in a 25,000 acre wooded area, known as the vast carlton reserve. authorities say it's a place his family says he goes to often. now, jon, the news about brian's disappearance wasn't really known to anybody outside of the family until friday evening. officers showed up to the laundrie residence and spoke to the family at their own request. it was at that time when officers learned that brian had been missing since tuesday. we're told investigators took some things from the home, hoping search dogs will help pick up on his scent. as for gabby petito, and the investigation into her disappearanc
