speaking as a brit, the north sea has huge challenges at the moment because it's much, much higher for them. the problem for north america comes when you look out and say what and about new production? unconventionals where the decline rates have so great year in year. if you look out to new fields that are forecast to be producing in 2020, you see those break-evens go up, unconventionals $40 to $80. for the gulf, $35, $75 a barrel. if we are in a world of $60 oil in 2020, a lot of those developments have problems. so as an industry, we need to think about how to bring those down. now, a lot of the focus, and in recent years, it's been about getting pricing out of the supply chain, increasing productivity. in the onshore price, total cost to develop barrels has come down $ 20%, maybe 30%. it's there's a little bit more to go. offshore has been a similar journey, it's slower because the projects are bigger. how do we keep that going? it's something the whole industry needs to focus on. we need to focus on it, customers need to focus on it, you know, and there are roles that your organiz

north korea likely to be discussed. what about the regional tensions in the dispute in the south china sea, is that likely to come up as well? >> reporter: yes. security generally is what's going to dominate this summit, whether it's the nuclear issue of north korea and also what is happening in the south china sea. japan wants to raise the south china issue in spite of the minister warning japan not to do so. the chinese believe that japan is trying to internationalise the dispute taking place of the sea where china has been reclaiming land and building up islands. the prime minister says g7 should stick to talking about issues that affect the economy and development and not the south china sea. that doesn't belong in a venue like this. i think what we will see is certainly the g7 foreign minister's writing about their concerns, but it will be no stronger than that because many of the members here, britain, france, italy, enjoy trade relations with china and they won't want to jeopardize those about speaking too hashly about what they're doing in the south china sea. snoom thank you for that. a response to reports from

it's consistent with the short-range missiles that north korea fires into the sea of japan and they fall to no effect, and they are more about making a statement. the statement that north korea is developing nuclear and missile programs is something that officials at the united states call a blinding flash of the obvious. the u.s. watches with concern over the last months especially, as north korea tested additional nuclear weapons, and test fired missile technology and appears to have developed a road mobile technology. there's no doubt that north korea is attempting to become a nuclear power and the assessment among the officials is that this is largely about what they call regime preservation, that kim jong un wants to hold on to power and he feels the easiest way to do that is develop nuclear capability. that is something that the united states, china, japan and south korea pow wowed about yesterday at the preliminary parts of the session, to figure out what is the best way to get north korea out of the course. >> today all the talk is about preventing an act. nuclear terrorism and w
