a student at sioux city's north middle school arrived on campus yesterday with a handgun. sioux city community schools superintenden t, dr. paul gausman, says the district received the information that a student might bring a weapon to campus before the day began. once the student got to school, they were able to search, locate the weapon and then detain the student. he was then taken into custody the student didn't have the capability to load the weapon, but dr. gausman says that doesn't change the severity of the issue.
