so blustery, we have a wind advisory north and west of the city. the city not under a wind advisory. if you're in southern maryland towards annapolis and anne arundel, you're not but everybody off to the north and west. the forecast officially calling for gusts up to 50 miles per hour a little later today. so it will be a very, very blustery day. again the wind advisory going into effect at 9:00 this morning through 6:00 tonight. here's a look at your satellite radar. the shower activity pushing off to the north and to the east. it's a quick change over there in central pennsylvania where they're expecting several inches of snow. the lake effect snow machine starting to kick into gear here back to the north and west as the flow once again out of the north and west. it will be a very chilly afternoon with high temperatures about 40 degrees. we're going to fall well into the 20s tonight and then this weekend although we're going to be dry, generally dry, could be a few snow flakes saturday night with a weak clipper system, it will be on the cold side

, the wind shifting slowly and it is west and north west, trying to shift southwest and as that happens, the milder temperatures will come in and pretty much the 40s and in oakland, 29. 44 in ocean city and around the area, temperatures around there and reflecting the beautiful north west wind. the double digits over the state and the ten down in ocean city and 21 mile-per-hour winds in northeast maryland and 13 from cumber land. we don't have a major windchill today. the temperatures are in that 40 area, but it is keeping that connection with the great lakes and that is the reason for the light snow showers and maybe some sleet mixed in as it moved over the eastern shore and since that low is responsible for this and it is moving to the northeast, we broke that connection and at least the streaming moisture from the great lakes and we have seen the sunshine and the high pressure is building and we have the winds and the high moving in and the high will take over the forecast and until then rings we will deal with these breedses. it will be several days before the next rain maker is her
