snow is falling into north west louisiana and northeast texas. on the leading edge we are starting to see blues and pink indicating precipitation is getting into an area conducive we will see more and more on the forward edge over the course of the next several hours. let's take a look at the projection on the radar and various freezing lines. at 4 am, it's north and west of raleigh. evaporation begins to cool the air. it comes south which is cooling due to evaporation. by 7 am, this would imply the triangle area is all snow coming down quite hard at times. this line will come back toward the north through the morning. to sleet and freezing rain by mid to late morning. this area would be prime for sleet and freezing rain which continues to be the case through the day. we will see both blind moving northward -- lines moving northward. in terms of eventual snowfall amounts to expect to see, this is the best estimate. the gray area indicates-4 inches. 4 -8 west of raleigh. increasing and sickening clouds and likelihood of smell in the possibly sleet
