the north wind is interesting as we get through the afternoon, you will see the north winds pick up asuilds in and leads to a warm up through the weekend. we will see mostly 70s despite the chilly start to the morning, but sunny skies and warmer and maybe low 80s for the first half of the week which will be near records, but as quickly as things warm up, the end of the seven-day forecast we have changes with scattered showers and highs only in the 50s. in the meantime, storm tracker off to the north and it will stay there for a while. as high pressure builds in, the temperatures are coming up tomorrow. this morning partly cloudy skies. nothing really showing up in the futurecast in terms of rain. we will continue to see the clearing and perhaps a chilly night tonight and a warmer day for sunday as the valley temperatures try to make a run closer to 80. around the south bay, low to mid 70s down to santa with highs in the mid 70s and a few upper 70s in the warmer places. danville about 76. 75 in fairfield. for the north bay, winds picking up at 10 to 20. mid-70s there and san francisco a

north winds still at about 12 gusting close to 20.0 degrees with northwesterly winds at 8. high today about 52. then this evening we're back in the mid-40s by 8:00. we'll be in the mid-30s in d.c. tomorrow morning. smuper 20s -- some upper 20s north and west. you can see a sliver of snow on the back side in pennsylvania that are coming through. the back edge trying to get toward i-81. as you get south of 64, we're seeing not as solid an area of rain but north and west of d.c. especially now coming in toward fairfax, tysons, mclean here but up into montgomery county and howard counties in toward westminster and caroll county seeing some of that moderate rain. that extends outward into frederick county. once you get into washington county, things do lighten up some down route 15 from frederick right through there, point of rocks, leesburg, lovettsville. those areas are seeing the moderate showers. you get south of 66 and you'll notice we don't see as much in the way of yellows. the rain showers get more sporadic and lighter. that's been

north winds at 12 miles an hour. so there's just a hint of a breeze in a few spots and the humidity at 44%. now, nationally much of the country is in really nice shape from the central part of the country to the ohio and tennessee valley, but it's the west coast that's getting hammered here with a series of storms that will bring rain and snow and in the mountains of the pafic northwest between now and tuesday, there could be three, four, five feet of snow. so we're going to get rid of this little weak system and we'll turn out clear tonight and we're in pretty good shape for the weekend. want to show you the forecast across the country, though, for thanksgiving eve. some showers in the northwest, upper 40s to near 50. if you're flying maybe to the west coast, that looks good on wednesday. the southwest looks good on wednesday, denver is a big hub, 61 and cloudy. chicago sunny and 53, a big hub. and what you're not seeing in most areas any precipitation. south texas may see some showers and storms, near 80. the deep
