follow the same front all the way toward northeast, and still producing snow across portions of the northeast. notice as you approach new york city, around portions of central and southern jersey there, you begin to see a transition take place as temperatures are a little too warm to support any significant snow to come down across the region. winter weather advisories away from the major city, at least out of new york city, is in place across parts of new york state. we know accumulations there generally two to four inches. you work toward the south, talking about 23 states. parts of 23 states, over 70 million people impacted by this. and the timing again really hour.g into to the morning rush 8:00, 9:00 p.m., this pushes off the eastern seaboard. and everything that will have fallen with the storm system will be complete. this is a quick moving system. four to six inches around raleigh, two to four for everyone out of the region, working toward coastal maine, another high area for snowfall there once again. a quick-moving system and a warming trend in store after this, guys? >> and it's bea

don dawn timmeney live in northeast philadelphia folks are coping with major water main break. bruce gordon is upper darby students and parents say their school is just too cold. let's begin with kathy orr tracking this cold and a nor'easter. kathy. >> yeah, let's first start with this winter storm watch. it goes into effect tomorrow night, lucy, just 24 hours from now. it goes through thursday. you can see through south jersey and southern parts of delaware we're talking about potential for significant snow. the cold is in place. that's for sure. it has been for a week. a week without reaching 32 degrees. 11 degrees in the poconos. 23 in philadelphia. and 20 degrees in millville this is what it feels like. bone-chilling cold with westerly winds eight is the wind chill in reading. four below in the poconos. it only feels like 13 in wildwood. so this is what's going to happen. we have a developing area of low pressure. it becomes a nor'easter moves up the eastern seaboard. we have winter storm watches posposted from northern florida right into maine. you know it's cold and this

we can see this whirling mass here this is a storm and there has expanded running up towards the northeast but behind it it certainly isn't draw i've got plenty of cloud plenty of rain in a couple of separate areas of low pressure will dancing around each other so plenty more in the way of wet weather as we head through the next few days as well plenty of rain over parts of the u.k. and then that stretches down through parts of spain and into portugal now this weather system pig actually edges its way eastwards and it is likely to give us some snow over some of the higher ground here from madrid though looks like it will see mostly rain and all temperature will get to around nine degrees all that unsettled weather still extends towards the northeastern parts of europe the exception really for all this unsettled weather is the southeast. and here it's fine and dry fifteen degrees with no problems there in athens the bit further towards the south and you can see this weather system that we've got with us over the event a region that's giving some of us some very heavy rain could well it give
