baltimore. now we see widespread low 40s. even in hagerstown we're at 36 degrees. don't get me wrong. temperatures will continue to fall on a northeast north wind. as we continue to see the winter showers drag down cold air from aloft all of this adding up to a night where we see winter showers but perhaps gaining to -- beginning to stick. for more on the conditions, head out to meteorologist mike masco. mike, you're standing by. >> i would say it's about a 70/30 with 70% falling in the form of rain. you have gropple or sleet. it's wet, not white. that's good us in for the evening rush. we'll droll with slick roadways. that wind map you showed us is telling. all day long it's been an east wind. now we're seeing a northeast wind. look at man clefter, 39 degrees. most of these temperatures in the 40s. high aloft, that's where we're seeing the snow falling. it's getting through the shallow layer of warm air. we expect this storm to have a burst of some snow after 8:00, especially to the north and east. cecil county you will be talking about an inch or so. then it's out of here as we go into the midnight hour going into tomorrow morning.

for northeast maryland if you are watching cecil, across through northern hartford, those areas could get that two to three inch range north and east of baltimore. for baltimore maybe, may a one inch plus range early into the morning of saturday and keep in mind this cutoff is sharp. right on the state line. it's possible it could be further south. we could see that band shift north and we could get just a coating to an inch around here. it could swing either way. we will have more as the night wears on and tomorrow morning. tonight 34, tomorrow we are talking about heavy rain. windy conditions, tomorrow night things change back over to snow and we could see the accumulations, especially for north and areas north and east of baltimore. as we look into the seven day period things will clear out rapidly ending a snow shower and looks like we will moderate nicely sunday into monday with rain due in on monday mainly just a rain event. huge storm for new england. big storm for new york, and for the northeast, couple inches of snow very possible with us. keep an eye out. >> thank you. >> sure. >> we have good news from our friends at good morning ame

baltimore and out west of town, good visibility where the warmer air is moving in. we have showers yesterday where earlier this morning they are now pushing across the northeast. bad news because they have snow covered roofs and stuff and this will get real heavy. a couple of sunny breaks in parts of the west virginia panhandlal. cumberland is 50. off to the south, almost 50 now at the airport, annapolis 51, 44 with lots of cloud and some fog still in washington. feeling like 3, south winds at 9 trying to scoop out all the cold air left at the surface. i want to tell everybody out west, wind advisory tonight until tomorrow morning, gusts 45 to 55 in the mountains in western virginia as well. west is pretty quiet, we have a big storm really big one up in the great lakes. the snow is there, this is helping to drive those winds for tonight. also push the showers through this morning. all the rain going back to texas low pressure going to form on that. we'll be north of it tomorrow, breezy tomorrow highs in the low 50s. then as we head into wednesday, this is when we see perhaps sun early in the day, clouds are going to increase by noon. notice the rain in southea
