this is in northeast france. these guys are in cars that kind of look like formula 1 cars or indy cars. we found another video from the same exact course, same exact race. it's all about making it through this course, these turns as fast as possible. the winning time was 48 seconds. they're sprinting around this. you see this guy just lose his control, gets really, really close to the camera guy. fortunately, misses him but ends up in this tree. >> that all happened in a split second. >> watch it here in slow motion. the guy takes the turn. right away he's in the grass, gets launched over these cars. >> you see the driver in that slow-mo shot going like this. >> after the crash, you can see a lot of people tending to the driver. in all this, he only suffered a broken foot from this accident. but look as the camera pans to the right. all these other spectators just feet from where this car ended up. >> it was a horrific crash, but that could have been so much worse. >> maybe landing in the trees is a good thing. i
