no official word as to this response to this derailment in northeast philadelphia tonight. we're awaiting a briefing either from fire chief, police chief, other first responders potentially philadelphia mayor michael nutter who you see there, african-american gentleman with the goatee and the glasses. we haven't had official word from local officials yet, but we think we will. we do have an official statement from amtrak it's not particularly detailed. amtrak is clarifying that this was train 188, it was operating from washington to new york it derailed north of philadelphia. in terms of the number of people onboard, amtrak says approximately 238 passengers and five crew members onboard. they confirm that passengers have been taken to local hospitals. we're keeping an eye on three or four local hospitals that have received passengers or that have been prepared to receive passengers tonight. one local fire commissioner calling this a mass causality event. best estimate that we have in terms of injuries right now is roughly 50 people injured, but we don't have a tight beat on

. >>> other news this morning violent home invasion in the oxford circle section of northeast philadelphia to tell you about. police are investigating the break-in's that took place on the 2100 block every tyson avenue. that's where "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch is standing nearby right now. justin good morning. >> good morning. yes, police say the two home invade nerves this case ran from the home on the 2100 block of tyson avenue, toward leonard street, presumably toward roosevelt boulevard to get away. and ever since police crews verse been circling, even using k9 units to find these two men. let's take you now to video of the scene. just after it happened, there were police cruisers in front of and behind that house where this home invasion took place. man and woman inside just before 3:00 a.m., two men faces covered made their way inside. we are told one was armed with a shotgun and had a confrontation with the man inside of the home. police were called and they did arrive. but the two men in this case managed to get away, leaving behind a large bag as well as that shotgun.

reporter: the 24 year-old was taken into custody on the 700 block of princeton avenue in northeast philadelphia. u.s. marshals and philadelphia police, worked together to capture him. michelle van guilder grew up with cintron in kensington. >> it is a big surprise. i didn't think he would do something like that. i don't know what he would do. >> reporter: he had been in hiding since police named him as a suspect in the violent attack. may 1st, investigators say a woman was walking in the 2,000 block of east york in kensington when cintron approached her. he pretended to be on his cell phone. that is when police say he pull the gun abduct her and forced her into his vehicle. police say he sexually assaulted the 22-year old woman and later dropped her off in fishtown. the minivan he allegedly used was caught on camera. >> we need to give punishment to the fullest. >> reporter: residents in the area thankful he has been captured and thankful to law enforcement. >> i would like to say congratulations, good work guys, because we don't need those kind of people around. >> reporter: so relief for resi
