we're seeing light snow in northeast philadelphia, we're along the boulevard by tyson. of course now that we're live there's not a whole lot of cars, a bunch of them came through just a few seconds ago, when they come through you will see they are moving along just fine. the road surface is wet, but it's clear. use caution you might see slushy patches or slick spots on the side streets. neighborhood streets you'll see more coverage and less blacktop. you want to be careful as you head out the door this morning. the city has been getting ready for this, two nights ago the streets department crews brined the boulevard and some of the higher elevations of the city. they mobilized at 7:00 p.m. last night for crews to start their salting operation. they had 70 trucks out with 50,000 tons of salt available. so plenty of salt for us for this storm. drivers we have spoken to have not run into any major issues this morning in the area. hour the roads so far? >> so far not too bad. they plowed most of the streets so far. the major streets have been plowed. >> reporter: how about

i'm happy to report, just as katie predicted, the snow has stopped here in northeast philadelphia. and thank goodness, for that. but take a look here, people will still be having to deal with the snow from overnight. take a look at the cars over here, two, 3 inches on top of the cars that will need to be cleaned off. fortunately for everybody, it is that really light, flurry snow, that you can just kind of push off your cars here. this is frankford avenue. you're looking at. you can see, you know, traffic moving at pretty good pace as the morning commute starts up here. but this is a good location to show you some things, because you can also see all of the little side streets off frankford. which have yet to be plowed. so you will want to be extra careful on those streets. you can also see the sidewalks also are a little slippery, just the fine layer of snow on the ground. but the road here, the imagine or roads in the city, looking pretty good. that will was not the case overnight, technically for i-95. we saw at least six accidents on both the northbound and the southbound side.
