>> reporter: we're here in the 5200 block of just street in northeast washington. if you take a look across the street, this is where a witness tells me the victim was shot. this is the entrance of a small apartment building. the man says he was he heard a number of shots. and when he came out, he found the woman who lives here on the ground. there's a bullet hole in the front door window into the apartment building. he says he's lived here for a short period of time, he had just gotten a new job, and he was just really saddened to come out here and find her on the ground like that. she was taken to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. if you take a look up the street here, this was also part of this investigation, very active. there are a number of shell casings in the streets with markers there. so police are also investigating that piece of it. again, this witness telling me that he heard probably 20 shots fired in what he described as an alleyway behind this apartment building. again, one woman pronounced dead. police so far have not made any arre

in northeast washington, suzanne kennedy, abc 7. adrianna: one man is dead after a mobile home in charles county burst into flames. ryan hughes has more on the investigatn drawing a major response from firefighters and the charles county sharps department. that fire happening down this longer road, about 150 to 175 yards off the street. we are told this is a large farm with several different animals and homes in the front of the property, and mobile homes in the back of the property. that is where the fire started. gottrack 7 over the scene the call around 5:30 this morning. this is in the 1700 block of marshall hall road. the crews arrived. the mobile home was fully involved and completely engulfed by flames. firefighters made an aggressive attack, and they were soon able to get in through the front door. that is when they pulled a man out of the home. unfortunately, he did not survive and was pronounced dead on scene. we are told a dog was also killed in this fire. fire, ase home caught no other injuries are reported out here. rig

in police report is around:30 saturday morning a woman was caulking up penn street here in northeast washington and a man came up from behind and he pulled her cellphone out of her pocket and then he forced her into this alley right here across the street. and let's show you video that we shot of the alleys a little while ago. according to the police report, had a hand gun, forced the woman to perform a sexual act and then he raped her. and they he robbed her of that phone. and there's no video that we're aware of at this point that shows the suspect although we under the police were in the area looking for video that might help. but at this point nothing has been put out and the description of the attacker is very, very vague and at this point, we did check with gallaudet university to see if perhaps they will put out alert to students here at the campus. and we have not heard back if gallaudet at this point. and we did look at the crime mapping for this neighborhood and over the last year mur murders, sexual assaults and robberies are all up when compared to the same time last year. there hav
