moving on to the indochina peninsula, a northeasterly monsoon brings rain and thunderstorms across vietnam, cambodia, thailand animal asia. stable and dry conditions in bangkok. we expect 20 degrees in tokyo, the same in seoul. it will remain in the 20s the next several days. it's going to be a bit warmer than yesterday. heading to the americas, mostly dry in the east, but a winter storm is hitting the rockies, spreading snow showers and strong winds. this weather can be found in and around colorado. we have warnings in effect across the area. after 25 centimeters of snow being possible in the mountain areas into wednesday. that will move southeastward, will effect the central plains in the next 24 hours. meanwhile, another system is bringing rain across southern ontario. that will spread to southern quebec, and could change in higher elevations. out to the west, winter storm is across british columbia, heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms. the rain also will spread to parts of the pacific northwest on wednesday. strong, southerly winds are prevailing, raising temperatures, expecting 29

this northeasterly wind helping to keep our temperatures down a little bit. that northerly component is wrapped around high pressure. the position of that high is tapping into that colder air. but look at this barometer, very high. we hardly have a cloud anywhere to be found. if you find one, you're lucky. maybe not lucky but you won't see too many of them around. that's the point. 45 in ocean city, 39 at bwi marshal and as we take a look around the area, 37 in bellaire, 45 down on kent island. you see the temperatures are changing. we're dropping as we typically do before suns rise. -- sunrise. so we're looking at these winds coming in from the north and northeast. just about 10 miles per hour. 14 miles per hour winds around dc and the dc suburbs. and 20 miles per hour wind down around ocean city. that's tapping into some of the temperature around the bay. bay temperatures are now dropping, well the ocean i should say. ocean temperatures in that 60- degree range. so it's getting pretty cool around the area. the low pressure we watched in the area over the la
