back towards the north, high pressure dominating much of northeastern asia, across korea, over towards japan, but we do have this storm system kicking off here in northern japan, that has been bringing some rough weather out there, and then back towards the west, we have another low coming in that's going to bring in showers across kyushu. look at the forecast saturday morning for okaido. 126 clm kilometer per hour winds. could see an additional 15 centimeters of snowfall overnight. let's talk about the americas, severe thunderstorms still flaring up across the east coast, actually flood warnings in place across the ohio river valley. they have seen this persistent flow. this frontal area really being fielded by that intense action. out ahead of it, record breaking highs were seen earlier this week in new york and d.c., but it's going to be cooling off. take a look at this three-day outlook, halifax 18, 11 on sunday, new york dropping down to 14, they were in the 30s earlier this week, by saturday. here's the extended outlook. >>> we have one more story to share with you before we go.

south and drop down some of the coldest temperatures we have seen thus far this autumn across northeastern asiaiday's high 13, seoul at 17, 17, tokyo. the three-day outlook, seoul drops to 13 by saturday, tokyo looking at a high of 17, it warms up a little bit on saturday, but 15 for the high, below the average there on sunday. even hong kong gets a little taste of this as well. 30, really warm there for you, still summer like, but it does drop down to about 25 and partly cloudy skies by the end of the weekend. meanwhile we take a look at the americas, eastern areas of the u.s., you have seen some prate messy weather here as well. some winter weather advisories are in places like upstate new york. as much as 20 centimeters of snowfall is expected. very wet snow is expected, that will accumulate on branchs, especially branches with leaves on them, that does bring the threat of snapping them and downing power lines as well. something you really want to watch out for. for the most part, this is going to shift over to rain as that heads to the northeast with cooler dry air working back in behind it

back towards the north, high pressure dominating northeastern asia, making at least for some decent witherhere. actually even into tokyo, mid-september temperatures. i do want to talk about what's going on in the americas as well. fairly messy across the north. in the south things are actually in the dry and warm side. dry and windy in the southwest. that creates all sorts of different problems. let me show you video out of nevada. this just is absolutely impressive footage. very dangerous wildfire taking place. started back on friday. winds actually reported upwards of 180 kilometers per hour in this area. the nevada governor declared a state of emergency. the wildfire has destroyed 23 homes, 17 buildings, several barns. the winds are still there, gradually calming down, but you still have those santa ana winds continuing to kick up into southern california. so that red flag warnings are in place there as well. even back towards the east, so very dry. that makes for all those dangerous conditions there. back towards the north, we have a spronl area pulling through the great lakes into the
