northeastern iowa had a hard freeze overnight, and parts of central iowa may be waking up to a little bit of patchy frost. we have been under a frost advisory in polk county and off to the southwest throughout the overnight hours, still in effect until 9:00 a.m. across northeastern iowa, that was the hard freeze morning. it was cold. maybe you are heading out to do some deer hunting like alex was. he captured this youthful sunrise photo near truro. we did have a few clouds and they acted like a blanket, keeping our temperature just temperatures will be recovering, headed for highs of 59 degrees. a little below average but still very comfortable. you can pick up those clouds on satellite to the south, but to the northeast, temperatures really were allowed to fall off. great news for travel plans, high-pressure dominating the weather. it will be sliding off to the south least and behind it, a south wind will drag in warmer temperatures for tomorrow and monday. a chance for showers on tuesday. highs today below average, 50's to 60 degrees. on monday, it is going to be a great stretch of
