alaska. it is above freezing in anchorage. the really cold stuff, northern canada. look at these minus 30 degree readings give or take around the hudson bay. that air will rotate south and southeast. that is the concern that we're going to get real arctic air heading into christmas day and much of next week. the short term, clouds moving west to east. the zone al flow bringing in mild air off of the pacific. this pulls away and we will slowly see clearing from north to south. so a quiet night. a cold night. 20s and 30s light winds. light winds tomorrow. high pressure nudges it down from new york state. we will see sunshine, temps in the 40s. clouds start to build on friday. late friday, notice the showers here in west virginia. here comes a front with periods of rain and showers. not just saturday morning but saturday afternoon as well. behind it, the cold will start to ooze in on sunday. by mid week, next wednesday, i'm only forecasting a high of 32. and that's in town. that means there may be areas that stay in the 20s. like tonight. in fact these temperatures ton
