and that seems only fitting now that the nfl bring the 50th super bowl to northern california in the san francisco bay area. san francisco in the area over the years is a hosted successfully, many nfc championship games, and the super bowl at stanford in 1985, i thought it was 95. the years go by so rapidly and as now recently, the world series games and we have so much to offer and we are going to have an awesome stadium as far as the san francisco bay area and the attractiveness of the city itself. and from the wine country to the north to carm el to the south. it is a great venue to host a game. i'm familiar with one of the two areas in particular. more than the other. the north. and but at any rate, we have a tremendous tradition going back to the days of kesar and the great football players and we have one of the only back fields where everybody is in the hall of fame. i am sure that all of you remember all of the players and kesar and but now we have the great players that have been a part of our tradition, we offer a great venue, and i am excited to be part of it and at the sa

i'm really excited about that and i want to thank the mayor's office of housing and northern california presbyterian homes and services for working together on this vital project. and the other thing i have today is an in memoriam, dominique ferris crawford. dominique was part of the fillmore community, true son of the western addition. he grew up on webster street between hayes and grove and later moved to turk street between scott and divisadero. this passionate young man loved his community. he's the brother of [speaker not understood] crawford who is extremely active in the community as well as kim caldwell and son of margaret cressie. no matter where he would travel or live, dominique always felt fillmore was his home. beyond being such a tragic loss, dominique's passing brings to light the desperate need for mental health services in the african-american community. we can no longer allow mental illness to be overlooked, not just in the african-american community, but in the city in general. in this moment of trial and need, my heart is with the crawford family. and as all the hear

when you look at what california means and what is northern california, you are talking about the state of ability, technology, the cutting edge. we are standing in what is going to be the first certified stadium. we are not sure what the certification is going to be, we hope it's gold. we are not sure until it's up and running, but what we do know is we have enough solar panels to be powered by the sun. that's something that nobody else can say in the world in sporting events. when you talk about bringing the bowl to the bay. we haven't had a super bowl since 1985. we hope to get another super bowl here and have a golden anniversary in the golden state where we had it in los angeles back in years we are going to host. i'm very excited to work with all the the host here, mayor reed, everybody in san jose, this is a place where you have police, construction workers, hotels, everything, it's not just from san francisco to san jose, you are talking about from napa and all places from around the world. i hope it's a future for many events to come. we thank you for coming out and hope to bri

first off the san francisco district serves northern california, santa cruz to the border and san francisco is not all of what we do. in san francisco last year we did about 200 sba loans and average loan size is $500,000. it's pretty good size. it's not the micro-programs that we support through the lenders and working solutions is one of those and we have others in the city and the bay area so we so micro-lending support but the main program is a guarantee loan program and 100 banks do those loans in the area and just san francisco city we did about 200 loans for about 105 million -- at 100 banks in a year. of that about 25% of the total for women owned business and 10% in addition were 50-50 ownership so about a third of the lending in san francisco we did last year were for businesses majority owned women or 50-50 women owned business so a significant percentage. nationally it's 20% of all sba funding is to women owned business so compare san francisco to the rest of the country we do larger percentage in san francisco. again those are larger businesses. as i mentioned they're businesse
