the roads" the governor said two people were killed overnight in north carolina due to dangerous weather conditions. and in the northern counties of south carolina, crews on i-77 have been working to prepare the roadways to help keep drivers safe. today, many of those lanes are being treating salt brine. the mixture lowers the freezing temperature for water and ice on the road. highway patrol wants people in those areas to stay off the roads unless you have to be out. if you do hit ice, troopers say don't overcorrect too quickly.
