northern honchu. and that looks like it will be lingering. northeastern china should be tapering off for wednesday, even for far east russia. we have that sea-effect snow, that cold air moving over the warmer waters, and it condenses and up and over 30 centimeters could be expected. the good news, this is ski country. a lot of the resorts will be looking forward to it. if you don't like the cold weather, on the other hand, unfortunately, you won't be looking forward to what's going to be happening later on this week. you see those lines from the northwest to the southeast, that's that cold air being ushered in. tokyo, you're looking at about a five-degree drop, even over towards seoul. then this whole mass of high pressure, that's a cold surge. that's what we call it. that's going to be transporting all that cold air. on the leading edge of this there into northeastern luzon, even extending down into portions of thailand, some rain showers have been popping up with this. that northeast monsoon coming in. for the most part, you are into some of these areas that

it started to track in all of that rainfall into north vietnam stretching up into china and then made a northern track. so, it is continuing to bring excessive amounts of rain into not only that northern portion of vietnam but stretching forth farther to the north. the philippines is bracing for a second hit as you may have heard them talking about. they are concerned about how much rainfall is headed back into the philippines because we have a cluster of thunderstorms developing a little bit of a cyclone spin. this particular system is going to be tracking towards the philippines as we get into the day monday and mont need. we are expecting to get quite a bit of rainfall but it could strengthen and bring wind as well. we will monitor these changing conditions over the course of the next 12 to 24 hours as this cluster of thunderstorms continues also, as we continue to see the rainfall totals go up for parts of southern china who has already been hit by several typhoons earlier this year. jonathan? >> thanks, rebecca. after three days of talks, no deal with iran over its nuclear program. at the l

we had parts of china coastline receive over 9 inches of rainfall. parts of northern vietnam have been reporting 5-8 inches of rain, and this particular storm is still packing a punch as it's curved to the north and north-east, where it will bring rain to the inland areas of china. more rain is possible as we are tracking a new potential tropical storm. the system is a cluster of thunder storms out in the pacific, but the track of that as we watch the development is headed towards the philippines, the same areas, same towns and villages hit by the super typhoon may potentially have a tropical storm on the way. we'll know about that within the next 12 hours. as we look at the storm track of the storm, parts of southern china reporting up no 9 inches of rainfall, flooding and landslides anticipated with the storm. we expect to see the potential develop in northern vietnam. we have two different threats that we are watching. not only the current tropical cyclone that's falling apart now. it did make rainfall as an equivalent to a category is, but once it hit land it star
