we have heavier rain here across parts of new jersey and extending through parts of northern delawares well. as we go to kent and sussex counties, cape may and atlantic county as well, the rain more light. we are seeing mostly drizzle and that is breaking up. we'll see that trend over the next couple hours. here's 9:00 a.m. still looking at rain especially to the south and west. through the course of the afternoon it's going to be a complete washout. it won't be raining all day but we will keep the chance for showers in the course of the afternoon. but the temperatures will come up a little bit and the moderating trend will continue into monday. monday looking less cloudy than what we are expecting for sunday. an we see the chance for spotty showers and a thunderstorm as this trend is going the take some time -- this pattern is going to take time to push out of the area. sunday still looking cloudy with a potential for a few showers. monday, more sunshine, still looking at a chance for showers but it's going to get warmer. with that we're looking at much warmer temperatures next week.

and so northern delaware is pretty hot. southern delaware's hot too. millsboro at 89 degrees. as you get to the beaches, it's not so hot. it's 80 in bethany beach, but 69 in dewey beach. wind from the cooler ocean. you can see what a tremendous impact it is. louis is 85 degrees. so we're going to have those differences during the day tomorrow. that's why we do this neighborhood weather forecast because sometimes you can get huge differences over small areas. it's hot. it's more humid than it has been. remember, less than a week ago it was 62 degrees for the high temperature. we've gone up every single day. yesterday, we got up to 90. we expect to be around 90 today or maybe even a little bit higher, and then the memorial day weekend, the trend does not continue through the weekend. it is going to be hot on saturday. that's going to be the hottest day, generally, the sunniest day, lowest chance of any kind of rain, and that's true just about everywhere. we do have a chance of an afternoon thunderstorm in the lehigh valley, but it's hot at 91 degrees. jersey shore at 76. right a
