news" weather center i want to show you the system exploding off the coast they have know in northern florida and georgia can and the carolinas. and the center of the low is tucked in closer to the coast. the track has shifted about 50 miles west. which really isn't a shift. and it's all track dependant and it has an impact on the snow total, a lot of winter weather alerts. first of all we have blizzard warnings, posted along the coast. and it's not really about the falling snow and along the coast is where you get the strongest winds, 35 miles per hour or more for more than three hours, it reduces visibility less than a quarter mile. winter storm warnings are posted along the i-95 corridor interior south jersey and northern delaware. this is where expecting accumulating snow less snow expected across the far north and west suburbs but some snow and winter weather advisory are posted there. this storm system will roll up the coast 200 miles off the coast. and intensifying as it does. the high of it will be during the thursday morning commute. i think that is why the school districts are cance

if you take a look, we've got snow in northern florida. ice, as well.. the temperatures, the difference, 54 in daytona beach, but gainesville, 32. that's where that icing has happened. so we are talking about anywhere from a quarter inch to three quarters of an inch of ice in northern florida and southern georgia. power lines down, travel is going to be treacherous. then we make our way up the coast, and the snowfall amounts through friday, especially through tomorrow from savannah to charleston, could be about 6 inches of snow. we look for about 2 to 4 inches stretching from atlantic city, chink ateague to norfolk. if this system makes its way to the west just a little bit, washington, you'll be involved, as well. look at the snowfall amounts. 3 to 6 inches for new york, and i think that might be on the low side. providence, 8 to 12 inches. we have blizzard warnings south and north of boston. 10 inches or more, and could be upwards of a foot to foot and a half as we get into maine, guys. so this thing is not -- i mean, it's going to be a big, big snow-
