we have another low sweeping through northern areas of italy.ou'll look at the precipitation, the heavy snow farther off to the north. one other big thing with this, you can even see it with the cloud cover. look at the way the winds are moving. over the adriatic sea, the strong southerly winds continuing to come in. we have video coming out of venice, because of this. we have been looking at some flooding across the city. this is actually called the aqua alta, or high water. the high tide has been peaking with the strong winds coming in from the south. overall, the sea level has raised about 120 centimeters above the main maximum tide level. so about 28% of the city has been flooded. now, the good news is that this is not a completely unusual situation. a lot of the buildings here are built to withstand this. but definitely a severe inconvenience. you can see even from the images there. as far as the forecast is concerned, yes, farther inland we're looking at precipitation. so there is still a threat of some additional flooding away from the co

if we look at the pictures from northern italy. it certainly has been feeling very cold. that is where the line of all the wintery weather is. just to the west of that, even if you haven't seen any snow there has been stormy conditions. this is what it looked like in n ice. a very stormy day there. we had some pretty miscellaneous rabble weather elsewhere and around the coast further south and italy. that gives you an indication that the winds were strong too. this whole system is pushing its way towards the east at the moment. as it does so it is dragging in lots of wet weather, lots of strong winds but also dragging down the temperatures as well. ahead of it though it is still surprisingly mild for this time of year. even if we fast forward into tomorrow, our temperature has just continued to rise this time up to 20 degrees. the average is nearer seven or eight. this is really quite balmy weather here. it is also very unsettled and saying cool and unsettled for us on tuesday too >>> thank you very much for that. negotiations are underway in slovakia to form a coalition

i also grew up in northern italy, which is a mecca of visual beauty. i have memories of when i was i would stand in the piazza under the columns and phenomenal-looking architecture. it stayed in me and resonated. i didn't get into art until i was 19. i came from a very intellectual family. both my parents are ph.d.'s. they expected me to go to a place like harvard. that was not going to go down. so i ended up at university of massachusetts, and after, you know, basically not showing up for class for a year, i dropped out, which horrified my parents. i went into this job on monday. by thursday i was like, oh, my god, what have i done? this is not for me. i called my dad. i said i want to go to art school. his response was how long is that going to last? i'm returning to a different way of looking at art, which is more traditional. it's not just something that is in the art world. it's a figure that represents us. so what i'm doing is i'm subdividing the body into, like, cubes. i start with the clay. i start with a general framework framework. once i fin
