. >> it was early monday morning along this rural northern maryland road when a woman says she was leaving her home and she spotted in her driveway what appeared to be a small bag. inside she looked and thought it was just trash. theks to the bag a pile of broken glass. she didn't think much of it, even threw away the bag, until she called maryland police to tell them what she had found, after she heard about the kidnapping and thought that glass could have been from the back window of a car. she said many fbi agents, to of them, came to her home and began looking for clues. she didn't tell us what she found in the bag other than what she thought were food wrappers. however, police sources tell us inside that bag, a receipt that led them to a northeast philadelphia acme. that was key evidence because they were able to find surveillance video of the suspect at that grocery store. deanna durante, nbc 10 news. >>> tonight, here is the mug shot of delvin barnes. he's the man police say was on the surveillance video using carlesha's atm card in maryland and buying food at the acme in philadelph

a little tricky on area roads right now, those counties that border pennsylvania, up around northern marylandced visibility, because the flakes are big enough and it's coming down fast enough. in fact, those areas up to the north seeing some light accumulation not on area roads, but on decks and patio furniture and the grass. that's where we're seeing some light accumulation right now. thur mont, westminster, i-83 and 15 too where the sleet and light snow is coming down. we've got another area we're keeping a close eye on right here. talking about sterling, areas around bluemont, just off to the west. this line is where we're also getting reports of some sleet and light snow that will last i think up until around midnight, just past midnight, 2:00 a.m., before it moves out. and when it does, it's going to get cold, and it's going to get windy. tomorrow maybe a cloud or two left lingering. you're going to need that winter coat. temperatures starting out at 34 degrees inside the beltway. upper 20s in the outlying suburbs. so cold throughout your day. 43. that's it for a high temperature. comes

and yesterday police tell us her atm card was used at a bank in northern maryland. we're joined live from aberdeen with the latest on this story. deio deiona. >> reporter: we can tell you federal agents from baltimore and philadelphia spent the day here in aberdeen, many times coming in and out of this pnc bank here. we're a half mile from the i-95 exit, so it's believed that whoever came off that exit used that atm card here, may have gotten right back on to the highway. the cameras inside, three cameras in that atm area, one on the outside door, one inside and one on the atm machine. we can tell you that investigators have been showing photographs from those surveillance cameras to the victim's family, and they are telling us they don't immediately recognize that man. however, investigators with the philadelphia police department, the baltimore division of the fbi and the philadelphia division of the fbi have not yet released those images to the public. so they're not releasing them to the public but are showing them to the victim's family. we can also tell you fe

maryland. they flew to west virginia when they crashed in the national forest. northerneporter david culver is here now with more on their ill-fated flight. >> for these two maryland men, it was supposed to be a training flight. one headed cross-country. but it turned into a worst-case scenario for this pilot and his student. exploring the blue sky saturday above the george washington national forest, bernard cha charlmain and his student, both flying in the cessna aircraft. their plane took off from frederick, municipal airport, headed cross-country. >> this is the cross-country check flight for a student and he had several destinations he had to go to in order to complete this flight. and the final destination would have been hot springs, virginia, which is down in the lower part of virginia. >> reporter: but they never made it there. the plane crashed within the national forest. >> it was overdue, and family of the pilot and co pilot could not make contact with with the pilot or the co pilot. so they notified authorities that the flight was overdue. >> reporter: polic

an area where we may get wet snow mixing in with rain around the metro area and northern virginia and north-central maryland. then it will change over to all mixing around much of the metro area by late afternoon and early evening. then it will quickly end tomorrow night. then it is all gone. so we do have a big area under this winter storm watch. all these areas in blue along the blue ridge and points west including frederick and loudoun county, northern falkier and p rapahanic county. we have snow off to our west that will move in the heavier accumulations and roads will likely be slippery. it will mostly be all snow there with about three to six inches. the highest amounts will be right along the blue ridge. perhaps the south mountain and closer to washington, maybe an inch or so near the immediate metro area on grassy areas. maybe the northern and western suburbs, western fairfax county and northern montgomery county could get up to three inches. south and east, less than an inch and just all rain around the eastern shore and the lower part of the bay. all this ending by late tomorrow night. for today,
