that's the chance of showers that we have up to -- northern parts of massachusetts early this morning to the clearer skies that we have in the north country early on. there's a certain delineation to what will be going on today. you can see the thicker of the cloud cover will reside in southern areas, closer to the area of rain. it isn't going to make a tremendous amount of northern progress today. maybe just enough to give a couple of showers for southern areas into the afternoon. temperatures early this morning starting off in degrees many locations. there are some 30's. what should be a fairly cloudy day for southern areas. up north you are in and out of the clouds and some filtered sunshine into the afternoon. making it temperatures in the 50's for the most part through the day today. we're talking anywhere between 55 and 60 for afternoon. coming along with this through the day today will be a breeze. that breeze is going to miles an hour. it is going to be a pretty stubborn climb to get back into the 50's. this plays out over the weekend. we'll have highs mainly in the 50's. you'

and northern and central massachusetts and by 7:00 this evening it is going to be boston and southward and you can actually see that here with the rainfall forecast by 5:00 p.m. most of that rain is contained to areas like nashua and worcester, off to the north and west and we have about half inch of rain in keene so there's a downpour potential within the showers we get and those showers and downpours do not move into boston until 5:00 p.m. and see from there things really take off and getting serious showers in boston and plymouth and updating now up to about an inch of rain in providence, rhode island and take you through when the threat is gone for good and look at road. >> shiri, right now pretty good and accident on the side streets but main arteries moving along nicely and expressway moving quicker than usual and 93 south has really opened up as well and take look at that as head past the gas tank and freeport street and live drive times 15 minutes on the pike from the weston tolls to the ted williams tunnel and 13 minutes on the expressway as you approach exit for the pike and
