if you notice in northern parts of massachusetts there's also some strong storms and some of these, moving in a northwest fashion that will come up and cross over the border with the stronger storm right there. farther north, the storm moved through the upper valley and is now over the lake sunapee area and headed for lake winnipesaukee and plymouth at the moment. and jane in pittsburgh tells me about 1.3 inches of rain as that moved through the north country earlier, just a few minutes ago, in fact. that's good news for rainfall. let's hope that that continues to be the case in areas farther to the south where hail is even possible coming out of some of these storms. there's the cold front that will cross through the region this afternoon. behind it, a high pressure area brings a much different air mass, it's much drier. in, take a look at the high pressure that moves in and we'll see sunny skies developing, drier air, it's very humid right now, but the dew points will be dropping through the afternoon as this new air mass moves in and changes the weather regime for the next day or two. f

northern worcester county. and across much of eastern massachusetts. where did we put down a lot of the water? a lot of the rain did fall across parts of that extreme drought. in fact, it is raining hard enough where it has been... a couple of flood advisories in efek for the cape as well as southern bristol and plymo in the last couple of hours. in terms of the heavy rain, it's almost been like a split decision. not all of us enjoying that soaking rain. we have lost out on the heaviest. cape ann through boston. south of the mass. pike. all the way down through southeastern massachusetts. you start to get south of route 44 and especially near buzzards bay, we picked up on quite a bit of rain. how much rain? one to two inches, generally, a theme here across southern new hampshire. the massachusetts-new hampshire border. even a few towns picking up royalston, massachusetts, three inches of water coming out of. this even worcester, just under two. then you have to skip all the way back down to the south coast. to get close to one to one and a half-inch reports. you can see some of these cells. th

northern western new england. a broken line all the way from southern main to west massachusetts tomorrow late afternoon. so most of the day is dry and even and far southern new england and then we get a few storms that pop in. the greatest risk of a few of those stronger storms would be from the wooster to boston corridor and there is a risk that a few of these storms could become strong to severe particularly from the let's say 3:00 p.m. to about 9:00 p.m. time frame when the last of the and islands and should be weaker at that point. so an isolated strong storm can't be ruled out. in fact, we are in a marginal risk for severe weather tomorrow. again, late afternoon into the evening. tropics active. we have a wave coming off off of africa. we have a little wave of low pressure. low chance of development off the florida coastline. and then tropical storm ian. that will stay out to sea. after the thunderstorms come through tomorrow, feelful -- feel of fall on thursday. mid-70s to end the week. next chance comes in on sunday. >> danielle, 93 south is looking great. the leverett connector wide open. 93 nor
