days from now, it's going to drift towards areas of new mexico, west texas and then go back over northern mexicond back to california. it's going to do the loop de loop. thankfully this storm does not have the moisture with it. doesn't have the atmospheric river and a hurricane to steal from, that's why we're not going to see torrential rains and horrible flooding. we see this isolated flooding in areas of new mexico and west texas. a couple showers and storms even at this hour. they'll be enhanced later on this afternoon. as far as rainfall totals over the next three days, nothing epic. but you notice west texas is pinpointed the possibility there of three to six inches. the other story, although we were a little cooler than the great lakes, a lot of the country still seeing a very warm period of weather. 90s today in texas. 90 in dallas. 69 in chicago. the next three days look very warm. and even all the way to the east. it looks like we're -- this is like a late summer feeling to it. cool mornings but the afternoon will be very mild. enjoy it. >> sounds wonderful. thank you so much. >>> well

you u n see widespread showers, new mexico, northern and western texas, also across the great lakes. checking precipitation estimates over the past 24 hrs, we just haven't seen a wle lot. a couple of@ spots in the northeast. few areas out west and have continued to see some showers and some spots gotten a half inch or more. add on the next 36 hrs, we'll definitely see some more moisture. that would be a lot for west texas and eastern new mexi. we'll see if that works out. that computer model shows 2-2-inches in some of thth area. but again we'll be seeing that increased moisture in that part of the country. but most of over the next 36-48 hours. high temps this afternoon, warming up to 70's and 80's as you can see there e to the central and southern plains. still on the cool side in the appalachians and into the northeast. l;ow temps tonite will drop off into the east. and especially out west dropping intohe 40s in both of those locations. a few 30s in the northeast and northern portions of the rockies. high temps tomorrow afternoon that heat begins to come into the miss valley, ohio
