that same morning, december 15th, 2011, a gunman opened fire at a small courthouse in a northern minnesotaup against the canadian border. he shot the local prosecutor multiple times and he wounded two other people. that was december 15th. less than two weeks later on christmas morning, it was a mass shooting in downtown chattanooga, tennessee. a crowd of young people leaving a christmas eve party after midnight when the gunfire fired into the crowd. nine people were shot. january 10th, philadelphia, pennsylvania, four teenagers riding in the same car were ambushed by an armed 30-year-old man. all four of the teenagers were shot. three were killed. february 21st, norcross, georgia, near atlanta, a man storms into a spa own and run by his family. he shoots and kills four of his own relatives then kills himself. february 26th, jackson, tennessee. a gunman fires into the crowd and shoots 21 people. miraculously, 20 of those people are wounded and only one person dies. the next day, february 27th, it's chardon, ohio. a 17-year-old high school student takes a gun from a relative, brings it to sc

minnesota, you know, you see snow this time of year. and there's possibly another storm about a week away across areas of the northern plains again. n a real significant one. seeing snow across the arrowhead of minnesota and the u.p. of i. snowfall totals have been extreme in minnesota. 19 inches. downtown minneapolis, not that much, around an inch. but just to the north of town is where the snow got very heavy, over a foot. but places in wisconsin, well over a foot of snow. this has to melt. and we're going to have big problems when it does. the snow pack still pretty high there. temperatures on saturday, 39 in marquette. to sunday, up to 55. we'll start to see some pretty quick melting of that and a nice warm-up for sunday across parts of the plains. one other storm we're going to watch this weekend is a storm that's developing across parts of the gulf. seeing a lot of moisture here across areas of the deep south and across the coastal areas of the carolinas all weekend long. some areas, maybe 4 to 5 inches of rain there. that's going to cause some flooding in across parts of the southeast this weekend as well. >> thanks so much,
