a storm spinning to the west producing rain showers for northern missouri, across illinois come into the ohio river valley. it is beginning to take this form where the storm is having a hard time, kind of spending itself out of existence almost. it will not totally do that, but it looks like it is threatening us but it really is not. at least it is not as big a threat as it would appear. let's look at what is going on outside. with the sun burning through the cloud cover, we are warming up nice. parton, 53. westminster, 55. the sun is doing its job today. high-temperature typically this time of year is around 60 degrees and we are in the neighborhood at this stage of the game. all the green shaded areas, the relatively mild temperatures right now, close to normal for the season. we have inland areas of new england that higher elevation that have chillier temperatures in the 40's right now. behind that weather system, spinning off illinois and missouri, the temperatures are quite a bit cooler with temperatures in the 30's and 40's right now. here is the satellite image. a few thin clo

northern indiana had ten inches of snow from the system. same system that brought the snow to tennessee, mississippi and even parts of missouri. so, yeah, we missed it. we got the rain and the warmth from it. now, the cold has moved in as well. let's show you the day planner for the rest of this afternoon. variably cloudy skies. temperatures, they may stay in the 40s the rest of the afternoon. to near 50. better chance you'll see 50 along the bay and southeast of town. where there is a little bit more sunshine. north and west with the clouds now, low sun angle this time of year. we're stuck in the 40s. with a west to northwest wind, that will feel even worse than that. some of the wind chills staying in the 30s. want to show you what's been going on. we've been watching the clouds here. watch how they march eastward and southeastward over the last few hours. this is expected in the mountains, to come out to 95 and now into southern maryland headed toward the lower parts of the northern neck. temperatures have actually dropped since last hour. we were 50 at 11:00. we're now 48. 43 in hagerstown. 28 in garrett county. lots of 40
