a few showers in parts of northern virginia could sneak into parts of the area after midnight. but that's not anything big. this is the big stuff in the ohio valley down toward georgia, some of that moisture is headed this way. and you can see the areas in red. some pretty strong thunderstorms. and as long as they just keep moving you're not going to get anything like serious flooding out of this. but, you need more than just a little burst of rain. allentown, for example hasn't even had 1/10 inch of rain in the last 34 days. that's over 4 inches shy of the average. that southerly wind is going to keep the humidity going up tonight, 1 or 2 little showers, you can see coming over perhaps even into the morning rush. but this is the main action. and it's well after 2:00 in the afternoon, just so happens to be during the afternoon rush. and you can see how the temperatures can drop from like 90 to 72 just like that as they they -- the gusty thunderstorm comes over. and some of that on the heavy side. you can get downpours, we can get some gusty winds, get some lightning. it'll knock the temperature down. but unless the storms stall, we're not
