didn't look all that organized across the northern plains. but we expected it would come together and it has. a stretch of snow and rain and thunderstorms. this is the second in a series of three storms that will move on by. the third one and final one is up here across the pacific northwest. this will be much weaker as it makes its way across the area. concentrating across the southern alabama region and southern mississippi for severe storms, there could be some damaging wind gusts and quite a temperature contrast across that area. take a look at the numbers. when you jump down into southern alabama, it is in the 60s. so that is the area that could see the veer storms. we have our 48. it is 4 at asheville and 34 in cincinnati. let's advance to futurecast. primarily rain for most of us. you see the blue showing up and that is the potential for snow. as you get to richmond, petersburg, up just north of south hill. perhaps heavier snow by 6:00 a.m. mostly cloudy skies during the lunchtime hour and during the afternoon, becoming partly cloudy.
