and 50, to 70 miles per hour across the northern rockies and portions of california and a number of wind warnings and also some wind advisories in effect out here because of the stormy weather pattern that's in place. as we take a look at the future radar, basically the next 48 hours, a bit of a lull in monday, as far as rainfall through california and the next system arrives producing heavy rain across many of the same areas and already had to deal with it and as we head into some of the higher elevations you're talking snow for the northern rockies and also the cascades across parts of washington and oregon. right now, again, most of it's wrapping up. that's good news, seattle, portland dealing with showers, but northern california drying out little bit. as we head eastbound, two more things. the northeast areas of showers especially across new england and headed to the plains, very warm temperatures in the plains, 80 over in dallas and for tomorrow, that's going to be the story again, so we're going to be looking at basically that continuing warmth across places in the plains, 81 will

we do have wind advisories across portions of california, nevada and northern portions of the rockies where we can see wind gusts between 50-70 miles an hour. those conditions are very dangerous, not just the flooding and snow but strong winds. flooding across northern california and southern portions of oregon where we are talking about several inches falling today. we're expecting another storm as we head into tomorrow. we do have basically drier conditions across northern california. that will be the story for monday. next storm on tuesday will be taking more of a northerly track. portions of oregon will begin with the heaviest. northern parts of california and expecting heavy mountain snow. over a foot in some of the higher elevations of sierra. so i do want to bring you to the northeast because we're going to have to deal with some rain showers, nothing like california but heavier downpours in portions of upstate new york.

there is disturbance across the far northern rockies. that's what's going to develop into one of our first real snow storms over the next cup perform of days across parts of the plains. snow moved in across the northern plains for much of the day tomorrow into minnesota and wisconsin. parts of michigan but there will be mostly rain from chicago southward. this just kind of sticks with us for the next couple of days. so get ready for that. it's been very cold across alaska for a lot of last month or so. they have had the colder airs alaska and into canada. some of that cold air is spilling into canada because it's getting closer to the lower 48's. impulses of that air at least moving in towards us. we will deal with winter-like weather. at least temperaturewise. finally getting in towards our area. today's temps looking like this. not that bad for anybody. tomorrow much colder in across parts of the plains. >> we will take it coming up on the show. activists say he killed 40,000 of his own people and nows that ha chemical weapon. now big i
