in the north bay, the steadiest concentration of rain is here in parts of sonoma and napa counties and northern marin county. highway 101 from santa rosa southward to novato looks wet. east around highway 116, some wet spots there. the peninsula is widely scattered, you can see batches of moisture offshow about offsh about to move onshore. from the east bay, an area of steadier rainfall, wet around a wide path of highway 680 there. you can see that batch of ion, moisture moving onshore, central part of the bay area, san francisco, golden gate. it's wet down to the santa cruz mountains. over the next couple of hours, rainfall focused mainly in the south bay, around san jose, the santa cruz mountains, down to gilroy. then as the evening commute wears on, we'll see not much developing in terms of rainfall in the north bay and central part of the bay area. it will be focused in the south bay around san jose. that's the wettest region. into the later hours, it will all wind down. partial clearing will begin in the north bay during the late night and overnight hours. spotty showers can develop in the

northern california may have hit a snag because of a dispute with government cross the. the army corps of engineers awarded two contracts to finishing the remaining work in napa, sonoma, mendocino and lake counties but this week a work stoppage was issued after a third company that lost its bid for the work filed what's called a bid protest. the corps of engineers says it only applies to specific areas of the clean-up efforts and other agencies are continuing their work. they also say the corps is acting to resolve the dispute so the contracted companies can get back to work. >>> aging infrastructure is no secret here in the bay area. in oakland, the sewer line problem is so bad, that if you placed all of the pipes in the city in need of repair end to end, they would stretch all the way to the colorado border. ktvu's tom vacar has been digging into the story and shows us that the fight has started with one tenacious woman. >> when it rains there's sewage water, waste water bubbling up out of the line here. >>> reporter: after two years of fighting, terry toby finally get to the city of oakland to replace one of two very old seeping and dilapidated sewer pipes running across her
