this will be the most snow we've had in five year northern virginia around 6. this is a different storm than like what we had last year where we could deploy and move our equipment around the resources. the commonwealth the entire state of virginia is being impacted tonight. so all of the equipment is out. so i really would stress let our folks do their job, 2,500 crew members, let them get out there, emergency vehicles, let them get their work done. if you have to go out, drive very carally, drive slow. the roads will be slick. what we're very concerned about is then it could turn to sleet and ice which could happen early tomorrow morning, which is going to be just treacherous on these roads. but we have the equipment, we have over 500,000 tons of salt 565,000 gallons of calcium chloride and salt brine. we're prepared for this, but getting folks off of the roads, staying at home as i say, this would be the worst storm we've had in virginia in five yoors. let us do our job and let the virginia department of transportation get the job done for us. >> all right. v

northern virginia bureau chief jeff goldberg is at the live desk with more on the new accusations against michael gardener. jeff? >> alison, this is amazing. in court today, prosecutors are revealing shocking allegations against gardener accusing him of pursuing a plot to murder two young girls who were set to testify against him in court. prosecutors claiming that while in prison in 2013 gardener reached out to a fellow inmate about trying to find someone to have the girls killed. that inmate then reached out to authorities which then investigated the matter thoroughly. prosecutors cannot say whether or not the girls' lives were ever in danger but they will say that the possible threats were taken very seriously. gardener is a former democratic party official in falls church. he was in prison after being convicted in 2011 of molesting two young girls. you may remember that ruling was overturned by the virginia supreme court and gardener was released but he was then arrested again last october for allegedly sexually abusing a different young girl in 2009. that girl a family member. garden
