sierra snowfall 28" in boreal over the past couple of days, 1 inches at northstar and 10" at mount rose. some good news video to show you it's one of our local lakes and reservoirs alpine lake. it's filled so high, 30% above average 130% of normal. they are having to release water right now. who would have thought that? alpine lake is filled to the top because of all of our rainfall over the past week. so what's happening today? another storm with a tropical tap. not only do we have low pressure areas making beelines toward the bay area we are pulling up tropical moisture. that's what we have been asking for, for three years. now it's happening too much and we are seeing flooding. >> we need a ridge of high pressure to give us a couple of dry days. that's what will happen tomorrow after scattered showers. the heaviest rainfall is through 8:00. friday's storm will stay to the north, not a widespread soaking rainfall. then the ridge builds in. for a week and a half we'll see no rain from friday night through christmas. so tomorrow, we'll see scattered showers, more rainfall, not as intens
